Congrats to Mad Max - his 1st NFL INT is against Mahomes

I think we've got a keeper. Not the INT - but it looked like he was all over whoever he was covering most of the game. -

It seems like we'll get Oliver back for the playoffs. It's tough - but every team loses one if not more key players by the end of the season. At least most of our injured guys will be back this year. I hate losing Hoecht, but he's really the 1st loss for the rest of the season. -
Hoecht is probably our first very significant season-ender (thought I'm holding out a sliver of hope). It sounds like Oliver could be back for the playoffs. If we can stay relatively healthy now, and get some guys back, we'll be in good shape. Every team loses a really key guy or 2 by the end. Bummed, though. He gave us a lot.

We're well-positioned for a good run now. This was the tough one. Not that other teams are pushovers - but I'll be disappointed if we don't take care of business until the Pats game. And then blow out those frauds. -
Bishop is a long-term, elite safety now. He as all over the field tonight. His instincts are what you want.

Josh is gonna save them again. But he shouldn't have to. -

We need a receiver that can keep the defense honest there. Beane gotta make a move. -

I like how the D is playing. They're not shutdown by any means, but they are stepping up. Cole Bishop's development is a joy to watch. -

I'm irrationally proud of the D right now. -

This game is giving me a lot of hope right now. But we NEED a receiver if we're really going to go for the title. We can see what Josh can do w/ Kincaid - we need a receiver like that too. -

The CB covering Coleman couldn't have done better even if he had been standing still. He's really veering strongly into "bust" territory. -

How many times does Allen have to scramble around looking for ANYONE to get open before Beane realizes we need a guy who can separate? We have to make a trade this week if we're serious about a title this year. -

Today was annoying. The whole last month+ has been annoying. At least Maye showed a bit of regression today. Awesome 1st half but pretty bad after that. -
That was a brutal loss for the Blue Jays. So many chances. So many close, close plays - especially the bottom of the 9th.
-
Well, they do have a worse record. They realistically might not win their division. Maybe they are. But it seems like recency bias to draw that conclusion.

I think the Chiefs are a little better than us this year. But I'm not sure if that matters when it comes to this match-up. So far, I think our Bills have been in a bit of sleepwalk mode - but this game always brings out their best. This is a "whoever has the ball last" game, imo.

Game week thread - Chiefs at Bills (Video preview on pg. 19)

Reminder, fellas (and ladies): once again, our team is one of 2 teams in THE marquee game not just of this Sunday, but of the season. And it is always a classic, and anyone out there who is a fan of football will be watching. Wasn't that long ago we were stuck in 1:00 game every Sunday, that only our fans & fans of the other team watched. These are the good times. -
I love that Steve Smith quote about Keon, and that Keon saw that. If he doesn't dig in tomorrow with absolutely fierce "how ya like me now?" energy, then he probably won't pan out. I think he has it in him, though.

Gotta say - I love the "when" in that post.

No one outside of Buffalo really acknowledges it - the focus is more about the futility than the accomplishment. Can't speak for the fanbase, but it's nothing I brag about or care about. The only reason I don't want KC to match it is because it probably means they beat us again in the playoffs. Which is actually kind of unthinkable but of course could happen.
