This. The chance we move to 2 - or that the giants want to - are slim. Lets build a team team with the picks we have in a deep draft.

We don’t know that. People talk about trading like you can pick and choose the trade you want. The colts may have a guy they covet who they think might not get out of the top 10. Regardless, it’s kind of a panic move to trade this early. I don’t know how anyone is faulting Beane here.

They didn’t trade out of the top 10. They have the 6th pick now. With the Bills they’d have the 12th.

What is with the “fire Beane” posts? This ain’t Madden. You can’t force the colts to trade out of the top 10 if they don’t want to.

The Giants may not even be thinking of trading regardless of offer. In a year or 2, they’re in the same situation as the Bills at QB if they don’t snag a top guy this year. I think Darnold, Rosen and Mayfield are out of the running for us now.

I think fans are setting themselves up for disappointment thinking there is a miracle deal with the giants out there. And this may have been there plan all along. The 2nd tier of this QB class ain’t bad. And we keep all our picks.

I’m all in on Bean right now. If he thinks Rosen is the guy, then Rosen is the guy.

It’s hard to remember when the future felt brighter. We got a good one.

AJ - more upside. He actually could turn into the long term guy, and that was never really a prospect with Taylor.

I know YouTube highlights are often the best throws - but I got pretty stoked watching them. He’s a real gunslinger and has some nice touch on the ball when needed.

Most likely trade partners are colts, browns and giants. Bean probably has at least 2 guys he likes. Any of those slots would work, but I’d love to see him get his top guy. Whoever that is. Could even be Mayfield for all we know.

Well, that’s why this happened so fast. Ridiculous contract. Probably double what he was expecting.

He surprised me this year. He played well all season. Until the playoffs. Given the kind of game it was, it could be argued that he cost us a chance to win that game.

All he ever did here was work extremely hard and try to win games. I wish it could have worked out. All the best to him. I will pull for him to do well wherever he goes.

I think Beane may be the best smokescreen guy I’ve ever seen in the nfl. We won’t know until the draft. But I’m excited that we’re probably going to draft one of these guys in the 1st.

So NFL scouts who breathe this stuff 24x7 365 days a year are all missing something?

You knew they were actually making calls? What an unnecessary comment. I’m glad this thread was started.

Most of that group looks to be in their ‘20’s. They have literally never known a losing season, and probably barely remember not making the AFCCG, or missing the playoffs. Wouldn’t you rather be us than them? Something to be said for putting some time in suffering as a fan before having success. Nothing the Pats do going forward will match the high bar they have set with this group.

When they show the hour long replay on the NFL network, they go right to Bob and Jonathan Kraft after that play. That reaction is satisfying.
