  1. Having lots of picks in a deep and talented draft? I’d have to disagree.
  2. I agree. I’ll support what they choose to do, but I’m hoping they keep the picks at this point. We could really take a leap with the players we could draft, and still get a solid QB prospect.
  3. I think McCarron could be a big and welcome surprise. He has almost all of the skills you need, but most importantly, he has that competitive fire.
  4. This sentiment has been expressed often. While there is some truth to it, it doesn’t paint the whole picture. For starters, we have been run poorly in a lot of other ways, and generally not drafted very well. We have also rarely gone QB in the first round - the one recent time we did was an enormous reach. We currently sit at 12 - a pretty high position in a deep QB draft. Is the gap between the top tier prospects and the next tier really worth the large and potentially prosperous farm we will trade for the former?
  5. I keep reading that the Jets don’t even know who they want yet. If that’s true, it’s a pretty reckless trade. I wouldn’t want the Bills doing that.
  6. I think the idea is more that it’s hit and miss. There are no sure things this year, and the 5th or 6th guy taken may end up being the best. Important to consider in this wave of trade up fever. We give up a huge amount of team building to make a move to the top. If that guys busts or even disappoints, it sets the Bills back years.
  7. I think we’re SOL on the first 3 and possibly even the first 4. Browns have to go QB at 1 now. They are literally the only team who has had a harder time finding a franchise QB than the Bills. Why would they trade their best chance in years? Eli has 2 more years at best. Gints would be foolish to trade. We never really had a shot for the top 5. Indy wants Chubb and weren’t going to trade down as far as 12.
  8. Pats don’t scare me anymore. Brady has no left tackle and he’s 41.
  9. This class has been hyped for a long time, too. That has had a psychological effect. We feel more desperate to make a move than we should. This group is good, but they’re not all that.
  10. Due diligence. More and more I feel like we won’t be trading into the top 5.
  11. After seeing what we need to trade to get to 2, I’m praying we don’t. 2 months ago, many felt that Darnold should absolutely stay another year. Rosen and Mayfield have their own question marks. There is no Luck or Manning in this draft. Stay put, draft Jackson if he’s there, and build a team.
  12. Everyone got “top 5” fever after the Cincy trade. The spell will break. We’re still in a great spot.
  13. Someone made the point that a run on QB’s will push more big time talent to our pick at 12. If I was betting, I’d bet on us staying put now.
  14. That makes no sense. They’re different players.
  15. What does saying he can sling it and has upside have to do with Taylor?
  16. Or, we can just not panic and trade up to 2. So, there’s that.
  17. I don’t understand what’s happening. Its not like the colts trade was our last hope for the future.
  18. I kind of agree with that. I wanted us to trade up, but this class has been hyped for too long. It’s not that awesome.
  19. That’s the trade off- but give me a gunslinger any day. I can handle a few more picks. I can’t handle seeing guys open downfield with a check down to the Rb.
  20. They’re all just prospects with potential. There is no Peyton Manning in this draft.
  21. Honestly, I don’t see how it’s different with Darnold or Rosen. Questions with both. About 2 months ago many felt Darnold should go back to school for another year.
  22. Agreed - expectations changed with that trade, but we still get a much better player with it.
