I could have posted this verbatim. I watch some college ball. I know only the tiniest fraction of what our scouts and guys like Beane know about football - so when they draft someone, I’m all in, pretty much immediately. Obviously, if we have decision makers who repeatedly blow drafts, it invites more skepticism. But Beane hasn’t done anything to diminish giving him the benefit of the doubt. So, I was excited about Allen from the start. Now that I’ve seen Allen play, and exhort teammates in the sideline, and hurdle defenders - I’m over the moon. We endured a QB search for the ages - since Clinton was President, and there was no such thing as a message board. And we finally found the guy. I have no doubt - we will be watching Josh Allen under center for many years.

Buffalo needs a complete rebuild on Offense

Zay has kind of become an underrated player here. He still had a few bad games, but the improvement from year 1 to 2 was huge. I still think he can be a good #2. He’ll benefit more than anyone from the Bills getting a true #1. And we got the most important piece - the franchise QB. We’ll probably keep a few more guys than are listed in the OP for depth, but I expect free agency and the draft to be very focused on O line and WR. -
Hate to even post this, but it seems like the Pats are peaking at the right time. There are better teams, but it’s almost unfair how much more postseason experience they have over everyone else at this point. Wake me up when it’s all over...

Some Boston outlet listed all of the AFCE coaches who have come and gone in the time of Belicheck. It was pretty ridiculous. Things really have to change. -
End of Season Rank the rookie QB's
Success replied to RPbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Honestly, it’s a pretty exciting group of quarterbacks. This class could end up being legendary. i can’t tell if it’s the homer in me, but if I had a choice of any of them, I’d still want the Bills to have Allen. I wouldn’t rank him on top right now, and put Mayfield on top for sure - but Allen just owns some crucial intangibles. He he has that Buffalo toughness, and is a real leader. I think my favorite play today was his diving attempted tackle on the pick 6 - the effort to strip the ball was textbook. -
Good to have the stats - but there is so much more to his game. He’s more fun to watch than any QB since Kelly. A true playmaker.

I love Mahomes game. I just think we overplay it when Allen has a bad overthrow. Every QB has those. -

I watch a lot of football - you probably do too. I see great QBs throw errant passes all the time. Every game. I think we get too hung up in Allen’s accuracy because it was the main concern for him coming out of college. So, every time a pass sails, it’s like “there it is! Scouts were right.” It just seems so minor to me compared to how he plays the game as a whole. And I just watched Mahomes sail 3 in a row. -

This is the time of year when I simply don’t feel good until someone knocks the Pats out. ABP. -

Today’s hope is not the usual illusion. After a few decades, we finally have a QB. -

If you would rather get swept by Miami for a higher draft pick, chances are that you weren’t watching football in the ‘80s. -

I’m surprised our resident Pats fans haven’t stopped by this thread yet to say how wonderful it is to be them. -

Not what I’ve seen. He is hardly all over the place with his throws. A poor receiving corps has hurt the “stats” - lots of drops, and can you point to even one great catch? I judge how guys play - not scouting reports. Allen could easily still be the best overall QB to come out of this draft. We haven’t had a QB like Allen for a very long time. Get the the man just one great receiver. -
