Their fans crack me up when they talk about the haters. They say other fans are obsessed with their team out of jealousy, and if they were true fans of the game should appreciate greatness. And most of them were still chanting “Yankees suck” in a World Series game after the Yankees were already out of the playoffs.

The Bills could be one of the top teams in the AFC next year. We have never had an offseason like this, in terms of picks and FA money to spend. Finally clearing out so much of the dead cap is huge. Obviously, it depends what Beane does with it, but I have faith. He was spot on with his judgment of Allen. I think this is the offseason where we finally build the long-term winner we’ve all been waiting for.

I always crack up when people refer to Buffalo as some kind of undesirable location. At this point in my life, I’ve lived in over a dozen places around the country, and visited many more. Few have been as beautiful as Western NY, and nowhere have the people been as down to earth and just cool to be around. I’m sure there is some hometown bias there and I get that it’s no Laguna Beach, but it’s an awesome place. Just look at how much it won over guys like Jim Kelly after they spent time here.

Kind of heartless. It doesn’t have to be a kicker - every player makes crucial mistakes. How can you not at least have a bit of empathy when they do?

It’s a good team. But man, is it hard to win there in the playoffs. Rivers has to be in peak form. Here’s hoping. They do have a great pass rush, so there’s that. A big part of the proverbial blueprint.

I always feel for kickers in those situations. I know that’s their job, but it can be the loneliest job in the world sometimes.

I would go as far to say that if there was a re-draft and we had the top pick, I’d want the Bills to pick him over the other guys. Mayfield is great and I love his game and attitude, but Allen just seems like more of a Buffalo kind of guy. Probably because he reminds me a bit of Kelly. They used to say that Kelly had a linebackers toughness and mentality, and I see that in Josh. Especially whe he tried to strip the ball on that pick 6.
