  1. Murphy is a good back. I’d probably prefer having him over Yeldin, but what do I know. Anyway, I agree with the posters who suggested getting him. No trades.
  2. They’re looking very smart right now. It feels like the team is in good hands and will be for years. I don’t miss Gilmore - I only wish the Pats didn’t get him. He’s their best player in D and a real difference maker for them.
  3. These 1st 2 games are both the exact kind of games that any Bills team since the 90’s lose. This team really fights. They play with a ton of confidence.
  4. Pats once again trying to suck the joy out of my Sunday’s and the NFL in general. Ain’t working today. They still rely on 2 old men. I’ll take our future over theirs.
  5. That long drive to stop the Giants momentum and out the game away was the best thing I’ve ever seen.
  6. That’s so weird. I looked at the schedule right afterwards, and determined that we’d go undefeated and win the Super Bowl. Go figure.
  7. It’ll be awesome when the NFL is just about football again, and not all Patriots 24x7.
  8. Nice return by ol’ Ray Ray there.
  9. Those are last year’s records. Not sure how long you’ve been watching the game, but things happen in the offseason. I don’t care about power rankings, personally. But why do you care what fans here think about where the Bills are?
  10. I concede nothing to the Patriots. They looked great...but is Pittsburgh terrible? Will Brown last? Gordon? Their O line is suspect, as is their depth for some units, including QB. The Bills HAVE to split with that team, at minimum. It ends now.
  11. Our whole schedule really isn’t bad. Obviously, we don’t want to get ahead of ourselves - but this could be a very good season.
  12. Nah. It’s their fans. I’d be able to respect what BB and Brady are doing, at least minimally - if not for the cartoonish arrogance of that fan base. I have friends there that I just can’t talk football with anymore.
  13. Not yet. But I doubt this is the last AB headline this season, or even this month. I was terrified when the Pats picked him up, but it’s starting to seem like a pretty dopey move.
  14. I’d rather be a Bills fan, but for lots of other reasons.
  15. Perfectly reasonable. I applaud your modest expectations.
  16. They’re all in on Gordon and Brown both getting through the season. Probably a decent bet, but hardly a guarantee. I still can’t tell if this is 2007 all over again, or if Pittsburgh just didnt show up.
  17. I was thrilled with Allen’s game. The turnovers were generally flukey. Not entirely, but I didn’t see him misread coverages or make dumb throws. And accuracy? Such an overblown concern about Allen. He’s such a gamer. I feel like it’s been a long time since we had a QB who was this kind of leader, and who just seemed like a winner.
  18. I love football.
  19. Football, playoff baseball, foliage, apple cider and the Rockpile Review. Fall is back! Great write up. Love the story about Coleman and Oliver. There are so many positives on this team right now. With Allen, Singletary, Brown, Oliver, Edmunds, White, et al., I feel like we have a young core in place that can give us a long run of success like that ‘90s crew.
  20. “The Creepy Crazy D” doesn’t really roll off the tongue like the Steel Curtain or Electric Company. But it’s a start.
  21. A lot of the most memorable catches in NFL history were from throws that were less than perfect. The QBs main job is getting a ball out so that the receiver can make a play. Not an easy catch for Cole, to be sure. But even he is probably thinking he should have snagged it. I don’t blame picks like that on the QB. The ones that concern me are those that are easy picks for the D - telegraphed, or completely misunderstanding the coverage. I don’t expect a QB to anticipate a catchable ball getting tipped into an easy pick.
  22. A sort of collective narcissism has overtaken that entire region. The Celtics and Red Sox just imploded and are both looking at rebuilds. Can’t wait until the Pats join them.
  23. I’m really trying to distance myself from what that team does this season. In the past, I would only be happy on Sunday if the Bills won AND the Pats lost. That’s a recipe for a lot if bad Sundays. I barely even watched their game last night. Clearly, they look like a jauggernaut and will be tough to beat, but I just want the Bills to keep winning and contend. When it comes time to face them, the any given Sunday rule is in full effect.
  24. I really don’t want to see that team in another super bowl.
