  1. That’s extreme. You know that Allen doesn’t even have 2 full seasons under his belt, right? Let’s see how it shakes out in the next few years.
  2. Texans vs Titans? Really?
  3. Maybe getting the bye isn’t the best thing...
  4. I’m with the KC/Reid crew. He really deserves it.
  5. The Chiefs will make us feel better today. The Texans & the "great" Watson will not get past that team in KC. If they do, Reid's reputation is well-earned. I don't think that's the case, though. The guy can coach, and will have that team ready.
  6. The Chiefs will likely dismantle them next week. They got a little lucky yesterday. The team they played was rusty, and not ready for the bright lights of that game. Not taking anything away from TN - they were ready to take advantage of that. But they probably won't get that in KC, and they're not built to come back or score the kinds of points they'll need against KC.
  7. People love to make comparisons in football. Especially w/ QB's. Allen is Allen & the Bills are the Bills. They're going to forge their own path.
  8. Maybe, but I didn't see that last night. He made some amazing throws, and his receivers had some uncharacteristic drops. Maybe he will be a flash in the pan, but I don't know how we can conclude that w/ one game.
  9. Man, twitter & the rest are going off on Lamar & the Ravens. People read SO much into one game. The Ravens came out rusty, and the Titans were ready. That's really it. Had that tipped pass not gone INT in Q1, they probably score and it becomes tough for the run-centric Titans to come back on the road. That's why they play the games, and why the playoffs are so exciting. But to write an epitaph for either the Ravens or Jackson's "style of play" is silly. They had a bad game. They'll be a force in the AFC for years.
  10. Vrabel is one of my favorite "newer" coaches. You can tell that team takes on his personality. Did anyone catch his expression when the Ravens decided to go for it on 4th down in their own territory that 1st time? He was stoked. He wanted the chance to stop them and seize momentum. He's fearless, too. I probably read too much into it, but when you get that kind of break, you have to go for it. When the Ravens made the stop, they went for the throat, and Tannehill unleashed that long TD bomb. I felt like the Bills should have done that in the 2nd Pats game when we got the fumble in the 1st quarter, but we played it safe.
  11. Isn't there a 16-game ban for that kind of offense?
  12. I don't see that as a sound conclusion. Jackson has had exactly 1 good regular season, and 2 abysmal postseasons. Jury is OUT. Your post is proof positive that fans are more critical of their own QB's, and that the proverbial grass is always greener. I think Jackson is one more post season failure away from permanent backup status.
  13. Yep. Jackson was genuinely bad tonight. 2 bad INT's, and that fumble was unreal - just terrible awareness. He had his arm out the whole time, and seemed oblivious that pressure could be closing in after all of that time. Allen is given much less leeway by some in this fanbase.
  14. It’s not THAT silly, though I am a homer. If Jackson doesn’t show up in the next playoff game, it’s a pattern. Ultimately, fans don’t care how good you are in the regular season.
  15. That’s 2 for 2 for Jackson - I’m a fan, but he has not shown up in the playoffs, and that’s not a small deal. Would he have been a better pick than Allen? Jury - OUT.
  16. And a lot of folks haven’t seen Animal House...
  17. It’s a horror show for the fans. SB favorites - this game was just a tune up for the Chiefs.
  18. We were just saying that in my house...
  19. Vrabel’s the real deal.
  20. Yeah - I actually felt that way in real time. I don't expect good or great QB's to be "mistake free." The mark of the really good ones is that they have a short memory, and move past their mistakes to keep playing well & taking chances. Allen led a drive for the game-tying FG, then for the game winning FG. On the latter, the ref took away what would have been a decent chance for Haushka with a phantom call. If that call isn't made & the kick is, the entire narrative about Allen & the Bills is completely different. The negative story after the game would have been how Watson had his chance in OT and blew it.
  21. I lost track of Rush, but 2112 was part of my formative experience as a music fan. It's hard to forget the 1st time I heard it - it stood out from everything else, completely. Recently, I saw a doc on them, and they were talking about the making of that record. It was really a "last shot" kind of record w/ their label - they weren't catching fire, and it was a final chance. Their manager kept promising that it would be an accessible record with "hits," and instead, they went into the studio & stayed true to their own vision, even though they knew it wasn't commercial. That takes incredible courage artistically. And, of course, the rest is history. The built their own niche in that world, and an incredibly loyal following. Goes without saying that Peart was a legend. He influenced so many.
  22. I certainly have no issue w/ that. NFL careers can be very short - the next contract could be any players last, and what they make has to last them a lifetime. I really hope we keep Shaq. He was all over the place this year, and really came into his own. I feel like he was in on so many big plays. A key cog in this D.
  23. Where does anyone get that he missed “90% of his deep throws?”
