  1. This, or something like it. They need to start talking seriously about extending the season and building in more time for make ups. They also need to establish thresholds - how many players have to be out before they reschedule? The NFL's entire policy so far is based on wishful thinking. It's embarrassing for a multi-billion $ business.
  2. I don't ask a lot. Treat me fairly at my job, don't speed up when I'm trying to merge on the highway, don't overcook my burger. And give me my Bills on Sunday. These are simple requests.
  3. Not my favorite player, but undeniably one of the most influential of modern times. Every '80's guitarist did the fret-hammering thing (which he famously hid from the audience before the band got signed). I still remember the exact time & place I was when I first heard "Eruption." It was like, what the heck is this? Mind-blowing at the time. R.I.P.
  4. This isn't even a flicker of a thought in my head. We've been through as bad as almost any fan in sports history. I can point to a few that are close - Cubs fans, Red Sox fans for almost a century. In football, maybe the Lions. 2+ decades of my life - and I'm one of those homers who talked myself into every single team & season. "Bill Walsh liked Edwards....this is the year!" One of my kids asked me seriously at one point, "Aren't sports supposed to be fun?" We can go undefeated between now and the day the moon's orbit decays, with 2 50-point blowout wins against the Pats every year, and it still won't be enough for me. I am enjoying every single second.
  5. Last week's crew was almost unbearable. The one dude was openly pulling for the Raiders.
  6. I swear - there isn't much that is more ironic than reading Pats fans online complaining about the "kid gloves treatment" Mahomes gets from the refs...
  7. BB can take ANY roster in the league and make them mildly competitive. They were down so many guys tonight - the opt outs on D, their O-linemen, Cam. He just tailors the game to the strengths of whatever team is on the field. I will celebrate when that man finally retires. He's been a nemesis since Bills/Giants.
  8. The announcers brushed it off, but it was 100% clear to me. When you paused the video, he had possession, his knees hadn't touched and the ball was over the plane. Had we not punched it in, I'd be all kinds of loony right now. It made no sense to me.
  9. I just want to congratulate every Bills fan who has been here since hoping that Todd Collins would be the heir to Kelly. We've been through a lot. So many losing seasons, heartbreaks, Bledsoe w/ a chance to make the playoffs against Pitt's 2nd string, the Losman/Edwards debate, Dallas MNF, New England MNF (and so many other NE games), Jauron, Williams, Mularkey, Gailey....all of it. And we came through clean on the other side, and are riding high w/ a great young team & one of the league's best young QB's. Good times ahead. And we have earned every single one of 'em.
  10. Didn't realize he'd be an instant team leader. He brings such fire - love it.
  11. If we had one of our great drought-year defenses, this team would be historically good. As it is, it's fun to have a great offense, and I won't have many fingernails left at the end of the season.
  12. Stidham! That will be interesting. He was getting a ton of hype in NE prior to Cam. I hope NE gets utterly dismantled. We haven't gotten to see that too much over the years.
  13. 100% agree. He wouldn't be able to keep up in a shootout. He's still more legs than arm. I'm not buying the whole "Pats skipped a rebuild" thing w/ Cam coming on. The Raiders & Phins both handed those games away to the Pats. Granted, that tends to happen w/ the Pats - but they have taken a big step down without Brady.
  14. I'd be okay going back to 14 for a season. That, plus delaying the Super Bowl, would allow them to really build in some time for make-ups. I love the MLB and I thought it would basically nullify the season to only have 60 games, but it's been a lot of fun and and playoffs still feel as crucial as ever. And that was cutting the season in half. Knocking a couple of games off the schedule wouldn't be so bad.
  15. I got excited for about 20 minutes. I guess that's something.
  16. So, does the Bills/Raiders become the national 4:00 game on Sunday?
  17. That's a great idea. They need more flexibility & more room to work with for these situations.
  18. Tuesday night is a little rough. Only really gives a team a couple of days to prepare for the next game. Not that I'm going to break out the violins for the Pats, mind you.
  19. I guess it was inevitable. We were supposed to get spikes in the fall anyway. And I feel like the NFL hasn't been proactive or creative enough in addressing this. There is a lot of hope & wishful thinking. They should have probably shortened the season a bit to build in more bye weeks, and stricter protocols & built in a few weeks after the season for make-up games.
  20. I like just about everything - but he is one of about 3-4 artists who I immediately turn the station when one of his songs comes on. Any one of his songs.
  21. They need to add 2 weeks to the end of the season for make-up games, then determine a player threshold for postponing a game. The playoffs need to be in a bubble. This season is too much fun. Pull out all the stops to make it happen.
  22. I hate to sound all selfish about this - but it's been a long wait for a truly enjoyable Bills season. I'm definitely concerned that we've only seen the 1st few dominoes on this one....
  23. It's good to see the #'s - makes me feel better about it. Built-in caution. 20 years of conditioning.
  24. I'll only be able to watch this game on red zone - there are only 3 games at 4:00, so I'll mostly be seeing our game and the Patriots game. Big stuff this weekend. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that we haven't had a 2 game lead in the division since the '90's. It's certainly possible this weekend if we win and the Chiefs beat the Pats, as they should. But, that's why they play the games. It's almost as likely that we'll be tied on Sunday night. Here's hoping for the better scenario...
  25. It's part of having a season in the time of COVID. It's not going to be perfect. I'll take this w/ the trade-off that the season continues. But I think the NFL was shortsighted on this. They should have built in at least 2 weeks between the regular season & playoffs for make-up games. They can't do double-headers like baseball.
