  1. Man, no one told us about this - making the championship game really wreaks havoc on having a normal weekend. I feel like I'm just finding things to do the whole time. Doesn't even feel like a Saturday. People never tell you about the downside.
  2. That's the kind of statement that, if I was a computer, I'd start smoking and shooting sparks, and saying things like "does not calculate....does not calculate...."
  3. That really would be quite a narrative. Kind of a "slay the demons" season all the way to the end - sweeping the Pats, getting BB to throw his phone, winning the division, making a run to the SB, winning in TAMPA - the scene of the original crime, and finally, beating without a doubt our greatest nemesis. It's like a tale from Homer or something. Immortality! Take it. It's yours.
  4. One game at a time & all that - but we are fans, and can look ahead. IF we win tomorrow, who would you rather face....a better team w/ Green Bay, or Tampa Bay and the guy who also played the role of "monster in the closet" for Bills fans going on 2 decades? It defies logic - because I do think GB is measurably better, with a better QB and coach - but I'm pulling for them in the 1st game. Defeating Brady in the big game, in Tampa, would help erase a lot of demons. But for me, he is still the monster in the closet. I'd rather have a game w/ as little baggage as possible, if we get there.
  5. That's an incredible doc - but I was only able to watch it the one time. I saw it was on last night, and quickly flipped past the channel. Just can't do it. I think if we win one, I'll be able to watch it again more easily, and w/ more appreciation.
  6. I've been taping all of the "NFL Lives" and other shows all week, and will probably watch a lot of that. And do some outdoorsy stuff just to clear my head. I'm trying to really appreciate the coverage being given to the Bills. It's basically the opposite of the past 20 or so years, and it's fun to hear everyone talking about the team. I also have 5-6 take out menus printed out. I'm perusing those and trying to make a decision on the best course of action food-wise for the game.
  7. It's probably somewhere in the thread, so forgive my laziness - do we have any idea if they're going to activate Williams or Freeman? Do we think they're just going to ride w/ Singletary and Yeldon for the most part?
  8. I have my pundit-to-English dictionary. When someone says, "It's just Diggs," it means "I haven't seen the Bills play this season."
  9. Sunday is going to be fun. I think they play like the team we got used to in December. KC might be the best match-up we've had in some ways.
  10. The Pats will be somewhat competitive as long as they have BB - but he's almost 70, and right now, they don't have a QB. We really need to appreciate that our biggest competition for the division is Miami. The Pats look to be headed for a stretch of irrelevance - right when we're setting up for a long run. I could use a decade's worth of sweeps to get back to normal psychologically when it comes to football.
  11. I've said it a few times - I wouldn't do a straight-up player for player trade as of today. Love Mahomes' game, but I think Allen has the higher ceiling, and he's just better for Buffalo.
  12. When has KC beat us in the playoffs since the '60's? Exactly.
  13. LOL I mean, that's one of the most ridiculous takes I've heard. Well, except Bradshaw taking the Ravens by 9, and then the Saints by 17, in the same weekend. I get "KC will likely win" (though I disagree), but "I don't think it takes a whole lot?" I'm tellin' ya - I can't wait for the game. I watched the replay of the 1st mach-up last night - worst game I've seen us play since the Orton years, and we were down 6 with 5 minutes to go. Bring on the Chiefs.
  14. With their ages & how good they both are, I'd bet that this is the 1st of at least 5-6 match-ups Mahomes and Allen will have in the playoffs. It has the potential of being an all-time kind of rivalry. And a really fun one to watch - 2 of the most dynamic players in the NFL for sure.
  15. Wings, burgers & fries - pretty standard fare, but you can't go wrong. No reason to take any wild risks on gameday.
  16. I'm watching it too. We've been awful - but it's a 6 point game with about 5 minutes left. I'm really feeling a weird confidence for Sunday.
  17. Our 1st matchup w/ KC is on replay right now. First drive was a bad 3 & out; forgot about that. Didn't look like us - 2 bad passes by Allen, followed by a beauty under pressure that hit Smoke's face mask and wasn't caught.
  18. I thought Betty, or Veronica. I wouldn't trade Allen for Mahomes straight up today. Much less Allen AND Tre.
  19. I'm pulling for GB in the 1st game. I do not want to face Brady. He has more Super Bowl experience than beer.
  20. I think Sigourney Weaver once said (paraphrasing) that "Alien" is the haunted house movie, and "Aliens" is the roller coaster ride. Good description. I love both movies, but they are completely different. 'Alien' was so groundbreaking at the time that it probably gets the nod. Some of the other Alien sequels, while not being terrible, were pretty lame.
  21. It is weird when a pundit just seems to be waiting for a guy to mess up, instead of praising the good play while it's happening. That was always Bayless w/ Lebron. Really, it's not even attempting to hide an agenda.
  22. We don't like the guy much here, but Tom Brady was DEFINITELY like that. He absolutely loved those moments in his prime.
  23. His last game was one of his best in recent years. Great QB and a great career.
  24. Game plans and decisions always look better with good execution. And good execution is always more possible with better conditions. The wind changed everything on Saturday. When that happens, you just find a way, and the Bills did.
