If he wins a Super Bowl - he's right there. I wouldn't trade Allen for Mahomes right now. I love Mahomes' game - but I love Allen's more.

We had gotten 2 spots before that which were pretty favorable. It evened out.

Week 15 Bills @ Broncos PreGame Thread

The Jets really should have beaten the Pats in that 1st game. Inexplicable pass by Flacco into triple coverage when all they had to do was run a few times to put it away. -
Does anyone else root for Dalton all the time now? Even though he's a Cowboy, I still pull for him to do well....
-
I'll drink. I'll smile. I'll laugh. I'll drink some more. But I probably won't cry. I get the sentiment, though. Been a long time. I still can't get over that play. I love Dalton now and hate to criticize him - but to be relying on a QB at that level to hit a 4th and 13 against a good D to save our season - it felt like zero probability at that point. To see Boyd then catch it and take it to the house was like winning the Lombardi.

I lived through the Miami dominance - but can't agree w/ that 1st line at all. The Patriots long ago took the pole position on that. There really isn't a comparison, imo. I don't even really hate Miami anymore; I've rooted for them against the Pats too much at this point. What the Patriots have done over the past 20 years as it relates to the Bills has very few comparisons in sports history.

ESPN Cover Story: Stefon Diggs Is Buffalo's Miracle Man
Success replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This whole Diggs experience is just a big, big smile. When we made the trade, the rest of NFL fandom - at least from what I read on some of the boards - thought we were making a huge mistake, and that Diggs would never be happy playing with "inaccurate" Allen. Instead, Allen is in the MVP conversation, and people are calling Diggs the best receiver in the league. And he's just an awesome Buffalo Bill - he makes unselfish plays & is a true leader out on the field. One of my favorite clips of him this year was when it looked like Allen might be hurt - he went right up to Barkley on the sideline and was already thinking ahead. He, Beasley, Brown & Davis - I mean, what a contrast to years ago when our WR corps was JAG city. -
Man, people are WAY too down on that fumble. He was in traffic, and it was pretty bang bang - his big fault was trying as hard as he did to save it, but that's just instinctual. I'm excited about what he brings to the table. It's a unique skill set he brings, and he has all the makings of becoming a true playmaker.

Monday Night FB Baltimore Ravens @ Cleveland Browns, 8:15 PM
Success replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not to be all hot takey - but Allen is so far & away the best QB from that draft at this point. No one is really that close. I like some of what Mayfield can do, but there is no comparison. -
Hate 'em, but what a run. It's over now, though. With Tua playing well & the Jets possibly getting Lawrence, they could have the worst QB situation in the division for quite a few years. BB can work magic with any roster, but who knows how long he's going to hang around. Here's hoping we get the sweep in a couple of weeks.

They just have to get on a roll. Playoff games are almost a coin flip at a certain point, particularly the deeper you go. It goes without saying, but KC is a very quality team - they match us at every level. A game like that could easily come down to a fumble, or a good punt return, or something flukey. But I really do love this team's chances, especially now that the D seems to be figuring it out. We can play w/ anyone, and I don't think we'll ever be out of any game. I only hope that COVID isn't too disruptive. I'd love it if the NFL could do some sort of playoff bubble like the NBA, but that probably isn't realistic.

Winning is really fun. I sleep better, I wake up feeling better. The sun seems a bit brighter, and I swear that even the food tastes better. Who would have thought? They should really keep it going now that we know how cool it is.....

Defense Peaking at Right Time!
Success replied to MarlinTheMagician's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I feel like it's night & day compared to earlier this season. They seem to have figured out who they are. More speed than size - and they really swarm to the ball now. They are playing with much more passion & energy. It's great to see. If they keep it up, the Bills are going to be that team that "no one wants to face" come January... -
I'm a Knox fan. When he had that fumble, everyone was like "here we go again," but that could happen to anyone. It was kind of a tough catch in traffic, and he tried to salvage it - it was bad luck that the ball didn't hit the ground. He's really fun to watch when he gets the ball, though - he just stays on his feet and keeps fighting. He's still a pretty young player. I feel like he could become one of those x factors as we start to make more playoff appearances going forward.

Agreed. I watched Red Zone most of the day, and it was just a terrible day for kickers overall. Bass has been very solid, and can't be expected to be perfect.
-
Man, we really went though it trying to find "the guy" - 2+ decades, seriously debates about Losman/Edwards, Tuel, Lewis, et al. But, find the guy we did. Allen is so perfect for Buffalo & this fanbase - and he's only going to get better. Good times ahead.

I guess I'm in a minority, but I've always enjoyed listening to he & Al - one of the more entertaining crews, imo. It took guys like him awhile (and there are still some holdouts out there), but he's all in on Allen now. -
We're as good as anyone. That's really cool to say. And it's a true story.

Week 14 SNF: Bills Whoop Steelers PostGame Thread

Just a reminder: we ALL had this one circled as an "L" a month ago. We may run the table now. I don't want to get too far ahead, but we're doing what you want a team to do - peaking in the final stretch. This team can go far. -

We should ALL feel like that. Allen has shown us so much resiliency. He has that perfect mentality for a QB - a very short memory. -
