  1. I'd be furious if I was a Jets fan. Does Fields have any passing yards this half?
  2. Tyrod has always been so underestimated. To me, it's a no brainer decision for the Jets. They have a guy on their roster who is demonstrably better than Fields.
  3. 38 yards passing heading into the 4th. That's really somethin'.
  4. Including on their own team. They should really start Taylor.
  5. Gotta say - it's still a little weird to me that the Jets are winless. They have a fair amount of talent on that roster.
  6. Super Bowl champs get a ton of primetime games. I think we'll have at least as many next year.
  7. I think the Pats win this past Sunday was a lot like the Bills win over the Pats w/ Fitz that one year (and yeah - it's pretty sad we all know what that one was. One of the very few meaningful wins we had over Brady). They pulled out the stops, played a little over their heads, and took advantage of our mistakes & some questionable officiating. And they still only won in the least seconds. If this sparks a run for them, I'll be surprised. They played to the level of their opponent in every game except Carolina. They're going to lose to some bad teams. I think we win the division by 2 games, maybe 3.
  8. It's not that I don't share some concerns on that - but the Pats pulled out the stops against us. That's not the team they have been to that point in the season. I could see them losing to any of the following: Saints, Browns, Falcons, Bucs, Bengals, Giants, Ravens. And I doubt they sweep the rest of the division, so maybe a Jets or Phins loss, or both. I won't rule out that they could go on a run - but I just don't think it's likely. They're really not that good.
  9. Hot takes have become like a religion w/ the sports punditry. I have been slack-jawed all week - a last second loss to a division opponent in a sloppy game, and all of a sudden the Bills are frauds, the Patriots are "back" (whatever that means), and Drake Maye is now a top-tier QB. If we lose to Atlanta, the next 2 weeks will be next to intolerable. I probably wouldn't watch anything. Not what I'm expecting, though - I think Sunday was more of a wake-up call for this team to start taking this season seriously. Atlanta is a very good, solid team, but if this Bills team is who I think they are, this one isn't that close.
  10. Something weird going on w/ the rash of "unexpectedly limited" we've been seeing late in these game weeks....
  11. So, we're back to Levitre/Wood/Wang-level discourse this week?
  12. I thought Dart's game last night - his 3rd in the NFL? - was better than any game I've seen Maye play so far. I'm not downplaying Maye's potential - he has all of the skills, and has made some "wow" plays. But the level of hype he's getting right now seems to be more people wanting him to be that guy. It's almost like there is this weird obsession nationally among the analysts & pundits to see New England resume their "villain" role or something.
  13. Dart is completely impressive tonight. Probably saving Daboll's job.
  14. Dart has already done more to impress me than the wildly overhyped Maye.
  15. Dart is fun to watch. I have a feeling he's going to end up being best from that class.
  16. I love Chicago - but it's a casserole, not pizza. NYC.
  17. The Pats do. And I know the Ravens are collapsing - but believe strongly they will right the ship. It's the NFL. Anyone can lose to anyone.
  18. If you're a top 3 team - most teams you play will logically be "not as good." Particularly in the division, upsets happen fairly frequently. We saw that in the Pats' dynasty years - not from us, sadly, save one time. But the Jets and Miami would upset them kind of regularly.
  19. Whew, boy - oblique can be more long term. Not loving hearing that. We need that new & improved Kincaid.
  20. I'll add to the chorus - Rasul was great for us for a year. It's very common sense for this Bills team to try to improve the roster, THIS year, right now. As we've gotten into the season, 2 things are pretty clear: 1) The AFC is as weak as I can remember it in the Allen era. KC & Baltimore are faltering and look like they could end up as WC teams. Cincy is out of the running. The other "top" teams are the Chargers, Colts and Steelers (all of whom are decidedly NOT juggernauts). 2) We have identified some clear needs on this team, which can be addressed by being active prior to the deadline. If ever there was a year to pull out the stops, this is it.
  21. I think we'll know more about this team after Monday. Wasn't it Parcells who said that the season doesn't even really start until November? And it think it was Belichick who saw September as more of an extended preseason. We have some new receivers, we have players like Bishop who are still developing, we're likely to add 3-4 players to the defense in the coming weeks, and I'd be surprised if we didn't have a big add by the trade deadline. I feel like this team is still finding its identity, and when you're doing that, there will be some lumps you take early on. This wasn't even THAT big of a lump. The Pats were playing the biggest regular season game they've had since Brady left - we treated it like just another divisional match-up. Lost in the loss was that Allen led yet another 4th quarter comeback from 2 score deficit, and probably should have taken the lead if a ref crew that was calling ticky tack stuff all night threw a flag on a blatant PI against Shakir.
  22. I don't suppose anyone watched their game w/ the Panthers? That seems like a crazy lopsided loss to arguably the league's worst team. They have certainly looked better in their other games, but I'm just wondering how that came to pass. 30-0 is crazy to a team like that.
  23. Good teams lose to "not as good" teams all the time. That's why they play games, and it's why even the top teams in the league end up with 3 or 4 losses by the end.
