I think the psychology of invincibility surrounding them played a big part of our last game, especially since we had already lost to them 3x in the playoffs. I think the whole world was kind of like, 'oh - we can actually beat this guy & this team' last night. I think it could have some longer-term effects, and with their division getting tougher, maybe it's the start of a new era. Hopefully our era.

They actually pushed.

I can't recall seeing a top tier QB play as bad as Mahomes did in that 1st half in a SB or even a playoff game. He really looked pathetic.

As others have said - we would have scored earlier, and more, and given them more of a game. But we would have need a big break or 2 to actually win. Possible, but Philly probably beats us 7-8x out of 10.

Defense wins championships. We have NOT had a championship defense. Beane has some work to do.

It was a little bit healing to watch this. Maybe we would have won - the game is all about match-ups, and I think we would have scored more than KC. But watching this, it just felt like Philly was ready for this game, and that this was their year. We probably do end up losing. And man, would that have hurt to lose a 5th.

Maybe. I wonder how Worthy would be on our offense. I doubt he'd have the same impact. Gotta see how it plays out. Coleman has an entirely different skillset - he could still emerge as a top tier target for Allen. Maybe we'll still think it was a bad trade, but today it looks more lopsided than it probably is.

Only downside is Pats fans celebrating that the KC dynasty didn't eclipse theirs, and that Mahomes didn't get a one up on Brady. But I'll take it.

This game can be filed under "good for my soul."

The Chiefs DID NOT BELONG IN THIS GAME. The Bills & Ravens were both better teams. This KC team is being completely out-classed. They squeaked by all season, and it has caught up to them.

I'm tired of the "Mahomes is the best" narrative. He's not.

They commented that the defender didn't cross into the neutral zone - but failed to mention that no one moved for the 5 yard penalty to make the kick harder. I'm starting to really buy into the "rigged" stuff.

I hope the Eagles looks as dominant as the Bucs did against the Chiefs a few years back. I'll be able to talk myself into "oh, Philly would have beaten us too." Even though that really wouldn't be true.

I couldn't disagree more. I watched those games. Belichick outcoached pretty much everyone. It was the combo that led to so many titles, but I saw enough of how he'd coach the defense in particular to know that he is easily one of the best coaches of all time, if not the best.

Were you watching the past 2 decades? Belichick was head & shoulders above every other coach in the league.

This is where I'm at. I'd only go a little further on Belichick - I really like his analysis & seeing him on the shows now. He has a sense of humor that we almost never saw when he was coach, and his knowledge is 2nd to none.
