  1. I'd be worried about Chiefs fans if they beat us again & then go on to 3-peat. They're already at levels of arrogance so cartoonish that they make Brady-era Patriots fans look like the model of humility. We need to win just to keep our friends in KC from slipping further from reality.
  2. We can joke about the Pats today. But older fans remember the Hershel Walker trade that loaded those Cowboys teams of '90s up. I'm hoping the Bills lose this one, personally. Maybe a loser thing to say, but I'd rather not see a division opponent get the kind of return that they'd likely get trading the #1 pick.
  3. Not gonna be sad if we lose this one - 1st time I've felt that way. I'd prefer the Pats didn't have the #1 pick.
  4. It's not the kind of lights-out defense you want for a title run - but they're better than the Lions, Rams & Pats games. I have confidence. We have a lot of talent on that side of the ball.
  5. That's why I don't love this. This game means nothing - I'd love to see all of the top guys have a week off. But they'll all have to play as long as Allen does. Hopefully just a few handoffs to get the start.
  6. I would too - but I'm torn between that and how it might feel to see a division rival with a promising young QB make a blockbuster trade on draft day for a potentially franchise-changing boatload of picks.
  7. Am I missing something? When did MVP become a "strictly stats" award? There are multiple factors. And the stats aren't lopsided. Like, 2 more TD's and 2 fewer INT's? That's supposed to convince me?
  8. I'd go Denver, then Cincy, then Miami. Even though we have dominated the Phins in recent years, they have played us pretty tough at times, and division games are weird.
  9. Gotta say - Ravens fans online are pathetic. If Allen had 2 already - and he didn't really show up in the playoffs - I'd be totally happy in that regard, and would just want a SB title. The fans I see online are so invested, and 100% about the stats.
  10. Voters can't decide that it's only the stats NOW.
  11. Pats don't look like much now - but Maye looks like he could be good, and a Herschel Walker kind of trade might vault them into contention. You don't TRY to lose - but losing next week would be better long term. Imo.
  12. I saw Ravens fans talking online about how the fact that Jackson already has 2 shouldn't matter. Please. It absolutely should when the stats are close like they are. The MVP is an award that should encompass a variety of factors - stats, record, seeding, previous awards, and most importantly - how valuable you are to your team. Jackson has a better team around him, and that's really not disputable.
  13. They should give him the week off. Treat it like their bye week - there is an advantage mentally to not having to prepare for a game at all.
  14. Daboll doesn't care. He just wants to win. Their fans must be livid.
  15. He will.
  16. It's crazy. People forget what it was like during the drought.
  17. Bitter cold works for us - wind & snow are more iffy. When we had that perfect game against the Pats, you could almost tell in warm-ups which team was embracing the conditions, and which just wanted the game to be over.
  18. I dunno - I'm personally tired of being so terrified of Cincinnati, a team that has looked unimpressive the entire year. If Allen goes through Burrow, Jackson & Mahomes - he is undisputed king of the AFC.
  19. I think it's weird how much hype he gets. It seems like he has one amazing throw every game, and that's enough for everyone. That last TD pass wasn't even amazing. He saw the flag and threw it up for grabs.
  20. Anyone else feel like we're the only team that can keep the Chiefs from a threepeat? We're America's only hope, imo.
  21. I get the sentiment. But, IF we never get a title, I kind of want history to know how great this guy was. I hate thinking that way, because Josh Allen kind of has to get a ring at some point. He's too good not too, but stranger things have happened.
  22. Pats won't tank - but I'd almost want to see them win as long as we beat the Jets. That #2 spot in the draft could help them build for the future if they make a good trade.
  23. Reminds me of when Whitlock said that Allen doesn't have that "dog" in him. I'd love to be a sports analyst, but I don't have the big clown shoes that the job requires.
  24. San Fran would have been the only team to take Worthy. It's possible. But the Bills got Coleman regardless, and also got Carter out of the deal (who will definitely be on the team next year). Both teams got what they wanted. The online chatter about the Bills giving Worthy to KC is kind of annoying, but expected. I mean, they might have taken McConkey if San Fran really did take Worthy - the league should thank Buffalo.
  25. I keep trying to convince myself that our D is better than it has looked over the past month+. Maybe they are? I look at the personnel, when healthy, and it really should be a more solid defense than what we've seen. We don't have a star pass rusher or anything - but the line is decent, the LB's are very good, the secondary is good. We have a couple of what might be considered weak links, but overall, it's not some huge talent deficiency. Here's hoping. Stating the obvious, but defense is going to be so key. We just can't hope the offense can be lights out in every game.
