McD’s fingerprints on draft choices
Royale with Cheese replied to WIDE LEFT's topic in The Stadium Wall
James Cook did provide very good production as a 2nd round pick RB. Yes, we should be a pass happy team because of Allen but I still don't understand why you are calling us ground and pound. We are pass happy and we have a finesse RB...we couldn't be any further from ground and pound. I agree that I would like to have more WR for Allen. But these past 2 Super Bowls have shown us you can win without WR's like what Tua and Burrow have. Mahomes has won the last 2 Super Bowls with a worse set of WR's than Allen has. -
McD’s fingerprints on draft choices

Are you guaranteeing that these 3rd round WR picks would have been successful? Are we really a ground and pound philosophy? I ask because Josh Allen has had the 3rd most passing attempts since 2019, the first year of the 3 RB's drafted in early rounds and that includes all the games that we blew out teams early and stopped throwing the ball or Allen is sitting in the 4th. We are a very, very pass happy team. https://www.arrowheadpride.com/2015/2/20/8072877/what-the-statistics-tell-us-about-the-draft-by-round The above is from 9 years ago but the numbers have not changed much. "The third round has the second highest number of receivers drafted with 52 but only a 25% success rate." -
Is this one of those oxymoron types of things?

There is no way you believe that. -

Diggs dropped the ball vs the Chiefs. That would have given us the ball at what, the 15? Baltimore wouldn’t have beat us and neither would have the 49ers.
-
If Diggs catches that ball, we win this Super Bowl by two scores.

No, I have known a few guys with big saws. They complain that they can’t use the entire saw because some of the wood can’t handle it. Some wood needs giant saws, some wood is perfectly with small Dremel’s but honestly would prefer more but the Dremel is nice. Mid sized saw will do the job almost every time. -

But sometimes too big isn’t worth it. -
2023 would be the worst MVP in a long time. Allen and McCaffery deserve it over Lamar.

Would you like to hear an interesting study on sperm? Of course you do. Well, studies show that men who smoke marijuana, their swimmers swim faster when they are carrying THC. However, they burn themselves out by the time they get to the egg and they lose the battle in the trenches. It's like when we beat the Cowboys. So, Cheech it up more.

I am starting to feel really old now. I remember watching Ronald Curry play basketball in high school. He the McDonald's High School Player of the Year. Played both basketball and football....he was an unreal athlete.

The average income in Atlanta is $36,000. People don't realize sometimes that there are so many people that are poor. One Colin Cowherd quote and I really agree with is why soccer is the most popular sport in the world. Its because most of the world is poor and its a sport that you don't need equipment to buy. When I lived in LA, these kids made a soccer ball out of newspaper and duct tape. It was pretty crazy how actually round they made it. With that, it draws people from all over the world even though the sport is sooooooo boring.

Parents and youth sports (again)

Amateur league baseball in Atlanta is insane. You have tournaments virtually every weekend. You could go 2 and out but if you keep winning, it was usually 5-6 games to the championship. -

I did the travel ball and I got burned out but it was something I thought I was supposed to do. My son loves football which I am actually happy about. He's trying basketball and soccer...I'm not sure how the AAU summer leagues are. I never played in them. I do know I averaged 85 baseball games in 2 months of summer baseball growing up. That's crazy. -

I used to love Farve as well. I changed my opinion on him when his wife was battling cancer and he was sending D*** pics to that Florida State fan. Wife is battling a life threatening disease and you're hitting on college women? He is a public figure, this news gets out. She's fighting cancer and the embarrassment of her husbands actions at the same time.
