There are 90,000 poor white, non-hispanic people in Chicago. They don't have a murder rate anywhere near as high as the minorities in the city. The cities with the highest murder rates generally have the stricter gun laws. They are getting the guns regardless. Punish the people, it's simple.

Just because Scientific America says you're more likely to be killed in Kennesaw than Chicago doesn't make it true. How about this? Because crime would happen all the time. Is this a serious answer? You crack down on the criminals, get them off the street. Not give them cashless bales because zero consequences do nothing. I mean come on. Criminals commit crimes all the time regardless of the law. You know how you prevent them from committing crimes? Stiffer penalties. I mean use common sense. If you're violent criminal and you get arrested, don't suffer any real consequences each time, get let back out on the street....what would motivate them to stop committing crimes? Nothing! I'm not sure if you know this but criminals don't follow the law. You know what is very illegal? Fentanyl. I bet you can't find that anywhere in the US because it's illegal right? Just to give you a stat. In Kennesaw, GA you are required to own a gun. If you live in the city limits of Kennesaw, you have to own a gun. They have had about 6 murders in the last 20 or so years. For comparison, Chicago has had 308 murders this year, that number will certainly go up by December 31 and Chicago has one of the nations strongest gun laws. I don't understand, stricter gun laws are supposed to keep the murder rate down?
