I wish I was reading more positive stuff about O'Cyrus.

Its more that I don’t think he’s a volume guy. When you pay him that much, or what’s expected, that should be a reliable volume guy. He’s a 50% catch rate down the field guy. He gets you those big chunks and when he does it’s awesome. But even back at his UCF days, he doesn’t produce much at all in the short game. I wouldn’t want to pay that much for someone who isn’t a well rounded WR. I think he is replaceable at a cheaper rate.

Regardless of how well he plays this season, I would let him walk. Draft a WR high next year. If Sherfield is as good as advertised in camp, he can take Davis' spot when he leaves. Diggs isn't slowing down for another few years. Let the draft pick develop to take over Diggs spot down the road. The 2023 season hasn't even started and I'm already talking about like 2025 lol.

Supposedly he came to camp lighter.

I want my mind to change about Gabe Davis. He's having a good camp from what I've been reading....hope it sticks.

Players already disliking Bienemy…

The reason why players today are bigger, stronger and faster is because they work very hard. Emphasis on Player safety doesn't mean they're soft. -
This is the reason why I think the Jets and Rodgers start the season pretty well. As the season goes on, the temps get colder, NYC light life active and the motivation to stick it to Green Bay starts declining....I think they crash at the end of the year like Miami last year.

Lovie Smith goes 8-24 as the Bucs Head coach after being fire from the Bears. He then went 17-39 with the University of Illinois. He then gets hired by the Texans to coach defense and the defense is bad in his one year....I think 27th in defensive scoring. He was then promoted to Head Coach and went 3-13. In the last 9 seasons as Coach and HC... 28-76 Win/loss record 27th in points allowed as DC. He's literally been terrible but keeps getting jobs. -

It's 100% because they don't think he's the best guy. It's a production based business and anyone that the feel can lead them to the Lombardi, they will hire. -

This approach doesn't even work in HS anymore. It's certainly not going to work in the NFL with grown men. -

Worthless Shoulder Joe, You specifically said it's a fact that he's definitely playing through and is in chronic pain. That's what your argument is. The only reason he's out there because "its his last shot" and that's why he's playing through the pain. Stated it's a "fact" lol. Two people have told you in this thread who have had back surgery and not in chronic pain and actually improved. But you know more about back surgery than we do. I clearly stated I've only had had one bad flare up that put me out for a few days. Most of them are just short and not a big deal. Since Brown was on the field the next day, it sounds like it was just a minor flare up. But you're adamant it wasn't and that he's still in pain today even though you have no idea what the issue was. You don't even know what you "literally" said. I've been on this board awhile and many people already know my hobby. -
Allen's Elbow Still an Issue?

Its true. Any time someone plays golf, it means its the most important thing in their life. I often drive by golf courses yelling at the golfers “Go home to your kids! Golf shouldn’t be more important than being a father!”- 38 replies

Spencer Brown Injury Concern

Good. People who have never experienced this, don't know how bad it can get. My pain is in my right upper glute. The same with me as well...working out getting the blood flowing helps a lot. Being idle and sedentary is when I feel the tightness. A simple walk for about 20 minutes or so can calm it down if I have a flare up. I see a chiropractor here and there. It helps when I'm in need to some relief. You will get some nerve damage after surgery. They're doing a lot of scrapping to get that disc off the nerve so if you can hold off, I would do it. -

My understanding that taller guards have a harder time on the inside because DT's can get under their pads easier and get leveraged out. I'm with you that I'm not sure if Brown has the talent to play on the outside as a starter. He could probably be a middle level back up for a few years. -

Are you choosing to have surgery? My Spine Doctor told me I don't have to have it but it would always been an issue with me. I can control the pain with epidurals every year but won't eliminate the pain. I chose to have surgery because I didn't want to deal with the chronic pain. I didn't want to adjust my active lifestyle. I do have to warm up and stretch a lot more before a workout. If I don't, it will flare up easily. I'm going on roughly 18 months since my surgery. Only 1 bad flare up that listed about 4-5 days....I got that digging and removing a large shrub in my yard. But outside of that, I will get flare ups but they go away after a few minutes. Others might last a little longer but those are very few. It feels weird sometimes because it feels literally like a muscle cramp but it's not the muscle. -

I'm pretty sure I had the same type of back surgery as Brown....it's the most common in athletes and in general. I seriously doubt he had a fusion because he wouldn't have played last year. I've dealt with post surgery issues along with several others I know....all the same issues. Flare ups can last 30 seconds or a few days....all depends how agitated the nerve is and how much swelling. And when the it hits, it can be bad...literally can't move. But then it goes away and you're fine. The reason you have back surgery is to get rid of the chronic pain. It's not repairing a ligament or anything like that, the surgeon just shaves the disc that's pressing against the spinal nerve. Once the nerve isn't pressed, you feel no pain. So no, it's not like shoulder surgery like Shanahan Horseheads is trying to state. I would not be able to train or lift for several months after shoulder surgery. I've seen people go through that...that takes awhile to heal because the ligament needs time. 7 days after my back surgery, I was jogging. After one month, I was back at the gym. -

You probably should go because for whatever reason, you think its easy and not hard on the body. Seriously go. Since you had pain in your shoulder that means Spencer Brown was playing through pain yesterday. There’s no such thing as a short flare up….it doesn’t exist. GTFO lol. If Brown still had a legitimate issue with his back, he wouldn’t be on the field and at practice. When your back is out, it’s debilitating. So him being in pain one day and practicing the next, it sounds like a flare up. But you know back injuries. When did you have back surgery? -
