Beanes drafts rate very highly
Royale with Cheese replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
There's more levels than impact and then average. I agree that we haven't had a ton of impact players but we have a lot of good players, average players and some poor. -

Singletary, Phillips and Knox all played a lot. Most 3rd rounders do not start and are mostly back ups. -
The Allen-Diggs Relationship in Decline?
Royale with Cheese replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall
OMG the stuff people say. He's Stefon Diggs, a professional elite athlete who is on a $120 million dollar contract. Those guys aren't limited. -
Great. I didn't say were are close to that advanced yet, I even said 50,000 years in my original OP. How much as medicine advanced in the last 20 years? In 49,980 years we won't advance dramatically more? We won't go above cockroach level? It was just an interesting topic I decided to make at thread about. Everyone but you came in this thread like an angry teen with a chip on his shoulder.

https://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2023/3/2/23621851/nfl-team-report-cards-jaguars-rat-infestation Cincinnati is hell for player families Despite being one of the best teams in the NFL, the Bengals treat their players like second-rate citizens compared to the rest of the league. The team ranked 27th overall, and while the training staff got high marks, the team tied for last place in how their families were treated. Not only do children and significant others not have a dedicated family room to watch from during games, subjecting them to the cold — but several players note how horrible it’s been for wives with babies. “The players who responded to the survey also complained that there is nowhere warm and safe for mothers and kids to go during the game because the Bengals do not provide a family room, unlike the majority of teams. Players reported that wives have sat on the public restroom floor to nurse their babies.” That’s wrong beyond comprehension. https://stripehype.com/posts/national-pundits-continue-take-shots-bengals-owner-mike-brown However, none of this absolves the Bengals of their shortcomings. They have grades of F, F-, and D- in the treatment of families, nutrition, and training room categories, respectively. The organization should absolutely look into improving those areas. Each team in the bottom half of the list should contact the Vikings and ask what they are doing, how they are doing it, and how much it costs to implement. Then the teams that rank low should figure out how to improve conditions in a way that will work for them and the players. Nevertheless, it would appear that no matter how successful the Bengals are on the field or which team du jour is below them in these sorts of rankings, for most outside of Cincinnati, the Bengals can only change their stripes but so much. Even though from the looks of this report card, there are a few teams who look more penny-pinching in this report, the Bengals will likely remain the face of the “cheap” organization in the eyes of the national pundits. https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2022/feb/07/cincinnati-bengals-owner-mike-brown-nfl-super-bowl “We didn’t have bottled water or Gatorade and when we first got it, guys would be taking bottles of Gatorade home,” former Bengals wide receiver TJ Houshmandzadeh told Colin Cowherd in 2018. “The year before I got there, Willie Anderson was telling me they didn’t even have jockstraps. They would get a bunch of used jockstraps and throw them in the middle of the locker room and say ‘Here you go’”. https://www.thebiglead.com/posts/bengals-joe-burrow-contract-01h64p99v6g8 Bengals owner Mike Brown probably doesn't feel that way as the guy who has to cut the checks. At the very least he did not sound particularly optimistic about the idea that the Bengals would pay up to keep the band together. When asked how the Bengals were going to manage the financial side of things Brown chose to explain how the salary cap works before stating that the nature of the cap means they're going to come up short in some negotiations.

Nick Bosa Trade Rumor (Unnamed AFC Team)
Royale with Cheese replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Kair Elam for Nick Bosa straight up? I'm not sure who wins that trade. -
He just wasn't berry good anymore.

Kincaid has 10 TD's Sherfield becomes our 2nd targeted WR passes Davis. Kincaid is our #2 in targets. The above is just WR's. Benford has 4 INT's. Is that really bold? James Cook makes at least 2nd team All Pro.

How much longer will the window be open?

Our window is open every year Allen is the QB. -
So now we use back up QB's?
-
They wouldn't be as good for sure. They're top 3 with Allen. They're 16-22 without him with an average QB. They're 12-15 with an above average QB. As good as I think Reid is, it took a supreme talent in Mahomes before he won.
-
I'm sorry, I don't believe the Chiefs offense would be in the top 10 without Mahomes. The Bills wouldn't be bottom 10. They were ranked #22 with Tyrod Taylor at QB and Rick Dennison as OC and very little offensive talent. This team isn't worst than 2017.
-
That's a fair statement.
-
Allen isn't even #1 for his teams percentage of production. Its Mahomes by a lot. https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/most-qb-total-offense-2022 It's also a fair statement to make that Patrick Mahomes is everything to the Chiefs offense too.

Geezus you are so attracted to negativity it's amazing. Every team, and I mean every team has a lot of swings and misses in the draft and FA. Even Super Bowl Champs...even the dynasty Pats. But you focus on every negative you can and try to hold it up like a shiny object. You don't focus on a 53 man team, you focus on any miss. Fact is this roster of 53 that he built has has the second most wins in the NFL in the last 3-4 years, only behind the Chiefs. And no, it's not only Josh Allen. If you don't have a good team, even with a great QB, you aren't winning. You become the Saints when Brees was their QB who missed the playoffs like 5 times in a weak NFC? Matthew Stafford in Detroit. You talk as if Beane is a bottom dwelling GM.

They obviously thought very little of him. They knew they were putting Von on PUP and still traded Boogie.

Hmmmm.....what are the differences between all the RB's? Are you sure that Blackshear didn't practice? Did the coaches forget to take roll call or something? Or is Blackshear so outstanding that the coaches excuse him from practice? Why were the other RB's much, much more successful? I don't care how Moss is doing, he's not a Bill. If you think his $543,000 cap hit crushed our Salary cap....I'm not sure what to tell you. Yes, the Bills got mopped by the Bengals. Get over it. We played terribly that day, it happens and it's a new season. Spare me the exaggeration with everything is better with the Bengals lol. To say they're better isn't a bad statement, saying they're significantly better than the Bills is. He could.
-
Blackshear has been impressive with his 23 carries with 77 yards rushing at 3.4 yards per carry in the regular season.
-
Well they have two years to figure out what there going to do at this position.

WGR speculating the Bills will make a trade

Well then you pay that guy as much as you pay Aaron Donald and Jeffrey Simmons in which we aren't. Oliver is currently the 12th high paid DT. And after this year, he will be probably in the 16-20 range. I can understand you being upset if we paid him like a top 3 DT but he's not anywhere close to that. He's being paid at his value.
