If we beat Dallas next week, we making the playoffs
Royale with Cheese replied to bills6969's topic in The Stadium Wall
Miami still has the Ravens and Cowboys left. I can see another late season collapse by them. -
Because we never beat the Chiefs when they had Hill or something?
-
I noticed that. I watch his every snap when he's on the field. He hasn't lost any burst or speed, he just didn't have any bend. Looks like he was able to change levels a little better tonight. His signature move is the ghost move....that shoulder dip and he hasn't even attempted that yet. When I start seeing him do that, I will know he's 100% back.
-
I think he is clearly frustrated because he has been focused on and we don’t have a reliable #2 to take pressure off. Even Kincaid isn’t doing much the last few weeks. Gabe Davis is where’s Waldo. Not to mention Diggs is a downfield WR and they are taking away anything downfield. He will have his explosive games again soon.
-
Thanks for letting me know you have eyes. They took that away and we didn’t have an answer.
-
It seems as if they game planned knowing KC was going to be very aggressive and bring pressure which is why we threw to RB’s a lot.
-
So this is you cherry picking two stats in a 4 game stretch to prove he is declining. Over a 17 game season, if you have a skid, you are 100% declining is not a strong argument IMO.
-
I saw that and screamed!
-
Some of you guys are such drama queens. He went 8 for 76 and a TD in the rain just last week at Philly. A few game skid doesn’t mean he is declining. Allen struggled midseason this year, clearly declining.

8th late-game defensive meltdown this season
Royale with Cheese replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes. -
I feel that McDermott is going to be extremely aggressive for the rest of the season. He probably knows he has a reputation of being conservative but it probably rolls off his back because he has had a lot of success. But with this coming out, its now in the spotlight and every move will be more scrutinized and magnified…especially late in games. He doesn’t seem to know the in between. Either way too conservative or all out blitz like in the Broncos game. The thought of handing over play calling duties in the 4th to Bishop probably should be on the table.

It’s Chiefs week - and the season is on the line

Its not the article. They already knew the story. Its now their coach is under scrutiny and how they respond to it. Not saying the won’t play hard but when you really respect someone, you will dig a little deeper. I am sure there’s coaches you would run through a wall for and others you wouldn’t. -
This is alarming to me. The Daboll thing I looked at as sometimes that happens. Some people just don't get along for whatever reason. But when it's this many, its a gigantic. The only positive way you can look at this situation is if McDermott looks in the mirror and sees himself as the root issue. He knows everything that is being said about him. He probably has an idea who Dunne interviewed. This is how you are viewed amongst your peers....this is not the look you want.
-
For a HC, I think it's better to be viewed by your team that you will hold yourself accountable regardless of what the national media's opinion is. We don't know what the behind the scenes is like. Lets see how this team responds when their coach is under this much scrutiny. This or after the Philly game, Dunne was done with McDermott and he was going to spark it with this article. If we were lets say 9-3, I don't think this comes out until after the season.

I think we find out how the team feels about McDermott this game. Will this team be dead or fight for their coach. They know the stress he is under, how will they respond? -
This is how I feel. McDermott really F’ed up with his 9/11 example. It has made me change my opinion on him. Not that I don’t think he’s a good or genuine person, his thought process really concerns me now. Now instead of just focusing on KC, this has taken over. A McDermott that has a divided focus on Sunday scares a lot.

Not sure I understand the reason for this thread. What if Tyreek Hill was on the Bills? What if Joe Burrow was a Jet? -
He has been benched. You can’t just box score evaluate. He has been ripped by Steelers fans and loses his job…he is really loving life on his new team? https://stillcurtain.com/posts/steelers-levi-wallace-shows-why-most-unplayable-cornerback-in-nfl-01hdcmdtj3z5 https://www.steelernation.com/2023/10/30/steelers-mike-tomlin-declares-rookie-joey-porter-jr-starter-over-levi-wallace It just doesn’t make sense to me that Wallace would yell “Get in their face and challenge them” when he is one of the corners on the field….especi That sounds like a player on the sidelines or who plays another position yelling at McDermott to play the corners up. The quotes and stories are from now and/or 3 years ago. Why is it so hard to believe this was quoted last year to finally put it in an article this year? Quotes in articles aren’t always recent.
