I was surprised they made the moves but I dont hate them. Watkins has trouble staying on the field and the Bills were not going to make him one of the highest paid WR's even if he did have a good season. Darby has not done much after his rookie season. I dont think the Bills got better with Gaines but they did get a guy who can catch the ball in Mathews. Come draft time next year people on here will be dreaming of ways to use all the picks.

Glad Boldin Signed. I think his price would gone up with the Jets

Holmes will be lucky if Rod Streater doesnt pass him on the depth chart too

I dont think TD should be in the hall of fame. He was a great player but he only had 4 good years playing for a good team with a HOF QB and one of the greatest TE's. If he played longer, I think he would have had the stats for the hall of fame.

The notion of Ragland getting cut is crazy. Why would you cut a guy who has talent and isnt costing much on a rookie contract. He hasnt even played a game yet. Ragland said he has lost weight so he will be fine. Everyone was exciting about the Hodges signing and he is just running with the 2's and 3's.

Stevie made a nice career for himself after being a late round pick. He got his playing time in and that is where it should end. The Bills dont need him.

I think the game has moved past Gruden. He is still knows football but after being out of coaching for 9 yrs I think it would be tough for him to land a head coaching gig right away. I can see him being an offensive coach first and then maybe get a head coaching job later on.

I think everyone here wants to see Sammy have a great season and get a big extension. I am glad to see Sammy wants that too. Hopefully things go as planned

You are correct. I carry or have it in my truck. The problem with AW is that the cops said he was handling it which is a totally different issue. I dont know if it was holstered or not but there is no need to touch it unless you think you will need it. Actually having the gun in your hand can be illegal....brandishing. Unless he felt threatened and can say it was a defensive display then he may be in trouble. Hard to say you feel threatened with cops around you. Then again I wasnt there so I cant say much about what was going on.

I am looking forward to seeing what Ragland can do. I was bummed last year when he went down. My wife replaces hips and knees. She said chances of him making a full recovery are very high.

I am always optimistic at the start of a season. Now I will be even more intrigued wanting to see what the offense and defense will look like. I am not expecting playoffs but I am not expecting an implosion either.

I like what little I have seen from McDermott so far. Lets get to mid season before we label him good or bad. The most positive thing I have heard players say is that the defense is not as complex as Rex's which I love. Let the players do what they do best.

I love Fred just like everyone else but I dont see the Bills picking him up. At some point the Bills have to see what they have in Williams. Williams has shown good and bad play. Let him prove he can or cant be the #2 RB.

I would stick to Bills players who played for the Bills for a long while. With todays NFL players are gone too quickly.

Not picking up Watkins option has more to do with the injury guarantee than anything else. Maybe the Bills saw that Hodges wasnt getting the love that he thought he would from other teams. Or maybe he thought he had the best chance to get on the field with the Bills to earn his next contract. I get so tired of "the Bills are cheap". Beane said they wont be making big splashes in free agency.

I would have liked to see Maclin sign but this gives Jones a chance to play.

No thanks. The Bills are better off saving the money to try and land Maclin.

He makes a good point. Not sure how many contenders are showing interest or are willing to sign him. If the Bills do sign him, I would have to think there were no decent offers from playoff bound teams.

Maclin was hurt last year so he production was down

I think the Bills keep Clay this season as a make it or break it season. They can always restructure Clays contract. I would like to see the Bills add Barnidge and I think he could take over as the #1 TE to earn a new contract.

I think this is a great signing at this stage of the offseason. A veteran guy that can start. He isnt a pro bowler but he is a solid starter.

I understand what you are saying and you can make the argument that Whaley should have been let go with Rex forcing the Bills to find another GM. Since Pegula let everyone go, he would have been crazy to do that before the draft. I think McD and Whaley worked together on the draft getting players McD wanted. I dont think Beane can complain about coming to a situation where he has two first round picks next year. Just because Indy did it in Jan doesnt mean that the Bills are wrong with the path they chose.

I will admit that I thought Whaley should be given this year to see how this years and last years draft pans out....especially picking up another 1st round pick next year. Credit who you want to with this years draft but Whaley will get credit or blame being the GM. If you would have told me a month ago that Whaley would be replaced with Beane, Schoen, and Gaine then I would have helped Whaley pack. I think the Pegulas sought help behind the scenes from NFL sources and were pointed in the direction of the Andy Reid's coaching tree. I love the direction the Bills front office is going. Finally the Bills have guys running the show that are respected throughout the NFL.

I know he is a 716 guy and I hope he can stick with the team in some way but I dont see where he is going to unseat Williams as a back up.
