  1. I dont think Taylor played well but he didnt drop passes, take holding penalties, allow the Bengals to score on long pass plays, ect. The whole offense sucked. I dont think another QB would have made a huge difference. Play calling is too conservative and the offensive line isnt getting it done.
  2. Who said they were going to the playoffs? They have only played on game in their division. They are 3-2 and look like an average team. I dont think they have the offensive horsepower to make the playoffs. I hope I am proven wrong but their offensive depth is crap.
  3. I didnt see too much creativity in the offense. I wonder if the coaches know the offense is bad so they just run conservative plays. The Bills have a lot of issues on offense so it isnt just one player or position group.
  4. I dont agree. No comparing college to the NFL. No NFL player is going to be content with mailing it in to get a higher draft pick. Everyone is playing for their next contract.
  5. I dont think he played well at all but he wasnt alone. Bad penalties, dropped passes, conservative play calling, giving up big plays all hurt today
  6. It isnt just Taylor. The whole offense is terrible. It is too conservative with no talent catching the ball or behind McCoy. The Oline cannot protect Taylor on a regular basis and they have trouble opening holes in the run game. I watch other teams and QB;s have pockets to throw from and complete passes to no name players. The Bengals Oline is nothing special but didnt give up sacks. The Bengals have a good defense but were missing two starting CB's. I think everyone on here knew the Bills would get into a situation where the defense had a let down and the offense isnt good enough to score touchdowns.
  7. I wonder if he referred to himself in the 3rd person in the locker room
  8. Everyone focuses on the QB. Taylor makes some great throws and some bad ones but lets focus on the offense as a whole. When a QB has a good pocket and time to throw, his WR's have time to run their routes and the QB can go through his reads. The Pats should have lost against Tampa Bay if it wasnt for their kicker missing field goals. Brady was taking a lot of hits. The Bills WR's are mediocre at best so they get less balls than Clay and McCoy. Taylor's pass protection is inconsistent to the point that even when it holds up it seems he is waiting for it to break down. The Bills Oline needs to do a better job of opening holes for McCoy. The play calls have also been conservative in playing for field goals with the lead instead of touchdowns. So far this stragedy has worked but it will not work all the time. Taylor should be allowed to play for touchdowns while being smart with the ball.
  9. When Glen is healthy he is a good OT. Nobody is going to trade for him while he is hurt. When he comes back then let Dawkins and Henderson fight it out for RT
  10. If the Bills get to the playoffs then Taylor will be back next season. I bet the Bills still draft a QB but maybe not with the first pick....all depends on who is available. The Bills have plenty of needs to be filled.
  11. I think the Oline is inconsistent. The Oline and opposing defense dictates what the Bills do. I watch KC and they seem to have a similar run design except Hunt has huge holes to run through. Even when Smith did the fake to Hunt and ran it in himself through a different hole, both Smith and hunt both walked into the end zone through different holes. I am sure Taylor would rather have an extra second or two to stay in the pocket to allow WR to run their routes. The Bills have made adjustments because of their Oline and it seems to be working. Hopefully they can do different variations of this to keep defenses guessing.
  12. Has Banyard even dressed this season? Does he play on special teams? I am surprised the Bills havent used him at all. I dont mind Tolbert coming and gaining yards but he isnt a threat to score unless it is inside the 5. I would like to see Banyard get some touches in releif of McCoy.
  13. So you say it is too late to add someone with playing ability but then you want the Bills to "go for it" and Philly Brown isnt going for it. Which is it?
  14. Jones made some great catches in preseason too going against first and second team defenses. I like Reilly but he was going against guys that arent in the NFL right now.
  15. Watson is talented. No doubt. He also has two fast and reliable WR's in Fuller and Hopkins. The Bills wanted to solidfy their defense with this draft and possibly look for a QB next season where they have a boat load of picks. The Bills offense is not built to have gaudy passing numbers. The Bills Oline is inconsistant in pass protection. If Watson was on the Bills I doubt you see him putting up these numbers.
  16. Just shows you what the media determines as news worthy and what is not. I think their should be a bigger spot light on selfless acts of kindness from people in general.
  17. I think more is being said about the division this has caused rather than the issue. Talking about the divide is what sells news, not offering ways to mend. Most of the players took a knee in response to what Trump said, not social issues. I dont see how taking a knee is changing anything but everyone has their own opinion. I dont have anything bad to say about Kap...he has donated quite a lot of money including proceeds from jersey sales. I just think he isnt a good QB and he wants to start somewhere so he is sitting at home. According to Ray Lewis the Ravens were looking at signing Kap when Flacco got hurt until Kaps girlfriend posted a pic of Lewis and the Ravens owner comparing them to Django.
  18. Not at all. In one of the responses I made mention that some players do a lot for their communities that probably took a knee sunday.
  19. That is awesome. I think the NFL needs more heros like him
  20. I just used it as an example of making a difference in the community. Players can stroke checks to fund lots of programs or organizations that would help bridge social gaps in their communities. It may only put a small dent in it but it is more impactful than just taking a knee. I know there are players that are heavily involved in their communities already and I hope they are mentoring other players
  21. This isnt Bills related but I think it is worth posting about. I think more players should put their money where their mouth is. Hats off to Deshaun Watson for donating his first game check to three ladies hit hard by the hurricane. Instead of protesting, go out and make a bigger difference in the community so your message can be heard. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/deshaun-watson-gives-game-check-to-workers-hit-hard-by-hurricane-harvey/
  22. Everyone likes to watch points being scored but the Bills are not built for that. I would be surprised if we see a 300 yard game this season from Taylor.
  23. One of my friends here is a broncos fan and he went to the Bills game. He said he had a great time aside from the stadium running out of water. He said Bills fans took them into their tailgate and shared the love. He makes customer corn hole boards so he said he was going to send them a set.
  24. Sometimes I think some fans would rather see 350 yard 3 TD's in a loss rather than 200 yards 1 TD in a win.
  25. One game against an elite pass rusher isnt enough to judge him. Give him two more games and see how he is doing. It will be interesting when Henderson comes back from suspension and Cordy is back from injury as to what the Oline will look like. Wonder if Groy of Ducasse will be replacing Miller anytime soon?
