I totally agree. At least we will get to see what we have in Peterman to see if he can be a part of the future. We need to draft a QB for the future next draft. There needs to be stability at QB. We werent going to be a good playoff team with Taylor and we wont be with Peterman either. There are glaring holes all over the team. The Oline it terrible. The DLine is marginally better. The LB's are subpar for NFL standards. Lorenzo Alexander is way past his useful prime. Twice I saw Milano try to fill the same hole as another Bills defender and the RB went through the open gap. The Bills will need better depth at WR and TE. They need to draft a RB because Shady need help

If you watch Sports Science on Drew Brees, his velocity was 52 MPH every time on 20 yard passes.

I would rather see the Bills lose with Peterman taking chances down the field rather than lose with Taylor holding on to the ball.

I want the Bills to make the playoffs but I would be ok if this decision blows up in their face because the plus side would be higher draft picks. I like that the coaches are taking chances to make something happen. Peterman may get picked off more but he will also complete some passes that Taylor would never take a chance throwing. I would rather lose fighting and trying than cowering while playing it safe.

Why is marketing even being brought up? The Bills offense is putrid. Something needs to change and it has. Will it work? Who knows but sometimes making a bad decision is still trying different options.

Why would the Bills trade Taylor when they had a good record at the trade deadline? Also the Bills only have two viable QB's, why trade one of them away? Injuries happen.

I can always talk about the Bills with my Dad. I come back almost every season and we go to a game. We are going to the Pats game in a few weeks.

I dont think it is over. The Bills control their own destiny. With some inspired play they can get a wild card spot. That said, I didnt think the Bills would even be in this position. I though it would be a so so season and have a pick somewhere between 10 and 15. Make good use of the draft picks and maybe become a contender in the next couple seasons. I have been surprised by them racking up wins. I may have Battered Bills Fan Syndrome but I have been waiting for the other shoe to drop. I was not really surprised by the butt kicking from the Saints, I was more surprised by the loss to the Jets. I am just going to enjoy the games and hope the Bills can pull out some more wins.

How do you come to his conclusion? Most former coaches and football people have said McDermott and Beane were the right guys. Beane would be GM in Carolina if not for coming to Buffalo. An owner should not meddle in GM responsibilities as the GM I am sure informs the owner ahead of time. Beane and McDermott have to be given several drafts in order to get the type of players they want. I would be very surprised if Pegula put them on the hotseat after two seasons.....especially since Whaley got an extension.

I would say it is the defense, Tyrod, and the Oline. The defense has been getting gashed. The Saints walked right down the field on them but the game was not out of reach early on. Tyrod and the Oline cannot get the offense moving. Conservative passes, runs, and QB pressure are killing this offense. For every good throw Tyrod has, he has three bad ones or he takes a sack. Taylor will not take chances with the ball and I think he throws a lot of passes late instead of anticipating. Three and out too many times in a row is going to exhaust the defense. Then when a good offense is up by 3 TD's, the defense knows the offense isnt coming back so they mail in the rest of the game.

I dont think it will crush their era. I think they have accomplished more already than most people thought they would at this point. I agree about the bold move to get to the playoffs. My fear is that Taylor beats the Chargers and then gets blasted by the Chiefs and Pats. Then Peterman comes in when the playoffs are mostly a distant hope. I dont know if Peterman will be able to win games but at least he isnt afraid to set and throw the ball. I think we have seen all we are going to get from Taylor.

Even though the Saints had some back ups in the game, I liked Petermans placement. On the drop by Benjamin, that ball was perfectly placed over a defender to where only Benjamin can get it and it hit him in the hands. Peterman isnt afraid of squeezing it in there. The TD pass to Oleary, he wasnt wide open but open enough that Peterman put it in his belly. I dont see those balls from Taylor. Even when Taylor was scrambling, I can see open blue jerseys on TV. It seems that once Taylor has pressure, he always sees pressure. He stood in the pocket and took some hits while trying to throw the ball so I will give him that. I am so sick of see the pass to McCoy in the flat by the sideline and seeing Tayor throw it short of the sticks to the check down in the middle on 3rd down. I would rather see Taylor try to let his receivers make plays because they are punting either way if the pass is incomplete. I think Taylor over throws receivers at times just to get rid of the ball.

I am so sick of seeing Taylor dump the ball off to McCoy near the sideline right after the snap. McCoy should be the last resort in the flat to the sideline. While Taylor scrambles he misses quite a few open receivers. I am not saying Peterman will tear it up but he faced the same defense as Taylor did the previous series and did much better. I liked Petermans ball placement and anticipation. Peterman got the ball out quicker or slid in the pocket to open up a passing lane.

At some point the Bills have to let a coach establish his system and get players to fit his system. McDermott should get at least 3 yrs to put something together. I think the team stopped trying because the offense is horrible and discouraging. Taylor misses so many plays and the Oline is terrible. Just watching on TV I saw open receivers that Taylor is missing.

I dont even both with the playoff picture at the halfway point....too many things can happen. Look at Green Bay. Lets see where we are after the Pats game Dec 3. If after that game the Bills are in a position to make a run, then I will start paying attention to scenarios.

If Mathews will extend on a team friendly deal then I say yes. If he is looking for a good pay day then no. He is replaceable. The Bills will have a decision to make after this season. If they stay with Taylor and build around him or get a QB early in the draft while keeping Taylor only for next season. If they stay with Taylor then the Bills must use the draft or free agency to rebuild the right side of the Oline. They have to be thinking RB replacement in the next couple seasons. They have enough picks in the first couple rounds to go BPA while stilll addressing needs.

My dad taking my brother and I to see Feguson and Cribbs play at Rich Stadium. I also remember Bob Chandler coming to my elementry school.

I wouldnt be surprised if the Saints beat the Bills. They are playing great football right now. The Bills have exceeded everyones expectations and they are going to lose games this season. I think going down the stretch most of the games the Bills have a good chance in. I hope we split with the Pats. Chiefs show they can be beat. Phins could be a split or sweep. Colts and Chargers are games the Bills can win. Even if the Bills dont make the playoffs, we have seen progress, change, and we have a lot of draft picks. I like the direction they are headed in and could be a contender within a couple seasons.

I like both Watkins and Woods but I have no problem that they both arent here anymore. Woods is not worth the contract that he got. Watkins is a good player plagued by injuries. I think his potential will always be greater than his production. The Rams may not be able to keep him after this season. Watkins may choose to go somewhere there is a good QB and less competition at WR. Unfortunately until Buffalo shows they have a legit WR, people will always be comparing to what Watkins is doing while over looking the value of EJ Gaines. Not to mention if the Bills use the draft pick wisely.

A win against the Saints eases this loss. If the Bills can shut down Brees then the Jets game will look like a bump in the road. If the Saints detroy the Bills I think the Bills will be looked at as the team most people thought they would be before the season started.

I was a fan of Williams but I think it is better for him if he doesnt play football. Do I think he could help the Bills? Yeah I think he would be better than some of their secondary now.

I think most fans didnt think they were going to do much this season. When the Bills started winning games they were not supposed to, it gave fans hope and confidence even though some of those wins were due to turn overs and luck going the Bills way. When the Bills get blown out, fans have a right to call them out. Especially last night because the Bills got exposed in Primetime by a team that they prob should have beat. Some fans go over the top calling for firings and players to be benched when they have no clue of the how or why something happened. Bills fans are tired of being mediocre and want respect. I think the Bills are a season or two from being a contender.

I am so tired of people pointing to Dareus not being there. So every win the Bills have Dareus isnt missed and then when the Bills lose, Dareus is missed. The Bills were down by 3 after halftime and went three and out to start the second half. If the Bills put up points, it changes the game. Three and outs kill the Bills and their defense.....with or without Dareus

Last night was awful. Both this season and last season their pass protection has been inconsistent. They looked good against the Raiders but you never know which Oline is going to show up.
