  1. He played it conservatively and it worked out for him. I dont think it was that bad of a call. If the Bills didnt convert and the Colts dont have that far to go for field goal range. They kicked one from 40 yards earlier.
  2. So there was no chance the Bills kept running the ball to get in field goal range? You have no idea if the Bills would have won or not if not for that pass. There was also a flag for PI on that play too I believe.
  3. There were a lot of runs for little gain or stopped in the backfield. Crappy conditions where nobody is getting traction with the defense stacking the box. 4th and 1 is not an easy conversion with the game on the line. I wanted him to go for it but understood what he was doing when he punted.
  4. Just like everyone else, I was surprised he did not make the team and was passed over for open WR spots this season. I hope he can play against starting NFL defenses and be a solid addition to the team going forward.
  5. It is up to the Bills since he is under contract next season but that is a lot of money to be tied up in QB that will most likely not be starting. I think they cut Taylor to free up cap space and give them more options.
  6. I would agree with Richardson as well as Allen Robinson. He should be fullly recovered from his ACL by training camp. I think he can be signed with a nice incnetive contract without having to over spend. We all saw good things with Reilly in the preseason, lets hope that he has the same success in the regular season. If Peterman plays, I am sure he has good chemistry with Reilly from the scout team.
  7. I think the only way the Bills dont draft a QB in the first round is if they can sign Garoppolo in the offseason. He is young enough to sign long term. I think they also need to sign an experienced #1/2 WR in free agency. Then use the draft to add talent and depth.
  8. Funny how quickly fans forget. Now Peterman has 5 INT's all by himself when 3 were not his fault. I am burnt on the QB issue. Even with a decent QB, the Bills need more talent. I know what the offense looks like with Taylor running it so I dont see any harm in seeing what it looks like with Peterman for the rest of the year. If he shows improvement then he can be in the mix next season, if he shows nothing, then you know you might have to find a back up QB in free agency.
  9. The Bills will need to try to get an experienced #1/2 WR in free agency. Drafting one is fine and dandy but then the Bills are full of inexperienced WR's aside from Benjamin and Mathews if he resigns. Even Holmes hasnt played a ton for how long he has been in the NFL. Having new toys is great but sometimes the transition from college to the pros can take a year or two.
  10. I dont hate Taylor, I would have loved for him to get on a hot streak and rack up wins. Didnt happen, not even close. He has pathetic passing numbers in multiple games. I say play Peterman so he can gain experience. The Bills shouldnt be in the playoffs if they can only kick field goals.
  11. My wife says it depends on how bad the tear is and where the tear is. The meniscus doesnt hurt, there is very little blood supply nor nerve endings. Picture two U shaped taped disks with the open ends facing each other. The base of the U is where it is attached at the outside of the knee and the other at the inside of the knee. and has some blood supply. The rest of the U doesnt. f the tear is where there is blood supply it could not be an issue. If it isnt then the only way to fix it is trimming it away. When the torn piece rubs on the bone is what causes the inflammation and pain. She said he probably got a minor bone bruise as well as the tear. The bone bruise is what hurts and will swell. Bone bruises can be anywhere from 2 to 8 weeks recovery time. Bone bruises can hurt as bad as fractures sometimes. If it was a serious tear, he would be on IR. Probably at the end of the season if it is still bothering him he can get a scope done to trim away the torn area. The more they trim away the less cushion between the bones. If he gets it scoped it will be a 4-6 week recovery time depending on what they do. I had my left knee scoped to trim the meniscus and I was back hiking and running in less than a month.
  12. He could be working his way back from a small bone bruise which can happen when taking a hit to the knee. That would cause some swelling and inflamation. The tear in the meniscus seems minor and he can play on it. Just a matter of pain threshhold. I am sure they have injected him with Cortisone
  13. I think there is the problem. Everyone would love for the Bills to have a top rated QB fall to them in the draft and have him be the future. Then the alarm clock goes off and we keep hitting snooze. A QB needs to go to the right system with the right players around him to be successful. Look at Mason Rudolph. He has talent but he has great receivers, good RB, and a good coaching staff as well. The Bills are not going to be in a position to get the top 2 or 3 QB's. I dont think they should waste the draft capital to move up. Everyone is always going to second guess the Bills. If Cousins, Luck, or Manning get moved to other teams, fans will complain. If the Bills draft a QB but he doesnt play right away, fans will complain. If he does play and he struggles, fans will complain. There is no simple answer. If the Bills can land Cousins and use the draft picks and free agency to put more talent on the team, I think success will come sooner than later.
  14. Jam his receivers off the line to throw off timing. Get pressure on Brady. This is a game for the Dline to take over the game. Show one thing and do another on defense. Taylor also has to sustain drives to keep Brady off the field. Basically do everything the Bills havent done against the Pats in the past.
  15. I still think the Bills are not a playoff caliber team. If they beat the Pats then I will be impressed. The Bills dont have the offense to compete with good teams. The Bills defense basically takes teams into deep water to drown them, the Bills offense does just enough to keep their nose above the waterline.
  16. I dont think people hate McD. I think fans expectations may be a little high at this point. The Bills made some moves that ruffled the feathers of some fans to build for the future. Some fans understand it, others dont want to wait for a rebuild. Right now everyone is thinking about how the Bills can sneak their way into the playoffs. The offense is terrible and will get wiped out if they make the playoffs.
  17. Also take into consideration that the chiefs 3-4 with 300 pounders up front and a good LB core. Ragland is a solid player but there is a reason he is able to run free at times.
  18. I agree with most of this. I think EJ Gaines makes a big difference when he is playing. I think Glenn solidifies the left side when he is healthy. The right side of the line needs an over haul and there needs to be more depth at RB and CB.
  19. Ragland is one player. Would you rather have him make a couple plays stopping the run in a pile of players or getting torched in coverage for big gains?
  20. If Taylor doesnt move the offense against KC then Peterman should play the rest of the season even if it means racking up the losses. The Bills will see what they have in Peterman to see if he is part of the plans moving forward. Since the Bills are not a playoff team, I would rather see them lose out so have better draft status so they dont have to use as much capital if they want to move up and get their QB.....or maybe there will be enough high potential QB;s in the draft that they dont have to move at all. The Bills need their early round picks for Dline, Oline, and LB
  21. Hiring coaches and staff is no different than drafting players. You go by what they have done previously, what their piers say, and how they interview. There is no sure fire way to hire people. Most teams in the NFL cycle through coaches until they find one that has some success. Every change isnt too far off from starting back at square one. At some point the Bills need to give a coach more than 2 yrs to build something. People on here just have to find something to complain about.
  22. You are correct. I am just passing info along. She was a trainer for a WNBA team for ten years before going into orthopedics. She mentioned after ACL tear they want the player in a hinge brace if not stable and weight off of it to get the swelling down so they can do surgery. No chances taken. She mentioned some people in the general public dont even bother to get it fixed especially elderly people that are not athletic. They just wait to get the whole knee replaced.
  23. It will depend on the grade. My wife replaces knees and does trauma. She said ACL swell the most. She said if it was very minor they would brace it and allow him to walk. Players can play with partial tears but it all comes down to stability. Any Major ACL and they would not want him to be weight bearing for fear more damage would occur.
  24. I would only be on board with Cousins if the Bills invested draft picks in Oline or free agency picks. Cousins cant make chicken salad out of chicken shlt
  25. Taylor may not have thrown INT's but that didnt stop him from fumbling for 6 points. The Bills defense did not stop Rivers. Chargers only punted a couple times. Even his back up engineered scoring drives.
