  1. I have been waiting for this.....kickers now can crush it...Bass's 61 yarder had plenty of extra.
  2. The bills have no ability to read a screen pass Best possible outcome
  3. Fair point and I agree......there is a number that is not productive to offer....I would love to know what Beane really thinks...personally I think the best thing for the Bills is to just let this year play out on the 5.2M
  4. Agree no one but Cook, Beane and his agent know where they really are....so we are all speculating. I like Cook but I would rather have a bigger hammer type guy that I think can do for the Bills what Henry did for the Ravens and Barkley did for the Eagles. If the reports they are close are true then I think they will get a deal done, I am just questioning if Beane wants a deal even at 9mm...not because Cook is not worth that, its just strategic team building decisions more than the actual money.
  5. If the Kyren Williams deal does not make this happen then I am of the belief the Bills don't want to make a deal. I am assuming Cook is willing to make a similar deal to what Williams has and that could be wrong. We can pay Cook and then he is the back for the next few years or they draft a guy that brings more to the table next year. I really get the impression Beane is good letting this play out. How does that end? Cook ends the hold in after the last preseason game because now his money is on the line, he is unhappy but really has no choice but to put out his best possible tape which is how he will get what he wants. He can go the way of Levean Bell and end up screwing himself...but I dont see that happening.
  6. agree to disagree. He is positive on the Bills because they are a great team....and that is not him the Bills are favored in all 17 games this season at this point....most football experts think the Bills are a great team
  7. I agree that Bills fans value him more than people outside Buffalo. But Joe Marino (who looks at things subjectively) says consistently based on metrics that he is "every bit a top 5 CB" the last two years.
  8. I took that as reference any geeky science class assuming/knowing Josh is not an engineer. So Dion spends his money burning through tires daily with cars that he probably does not drive on the road? That building has his name on it. I found that who scene to be a little weird.
  9. Here we go!
  10. Was that Tom Brady's binky?
  11. I think if you can put yourself in Cook's shoes or Beane's shoes it is easy to see why there is conflict and a resolution might not be easy. Honestly not sure the Bills want to pay his market value.
  12. Not so sure about that, they seem to be in about the same tier to me. The question is would the Bills be willing to give Cook the same or a slightly larger deal.....and the next question is would Cook accept that.
  13. I agree that makes him different. However I think he showed last year he can slide he can go out of bounds and as time goes on I think he has the brain and ability to replace some of his running with passing.
  14. The bills are not a team with a balanced balanced budget. They are one of the teams pushing money into the future withhold years….. it leading the league that is the eagles. But they are easy top 10 and probably higher in leveraging the future. I understand you want every player who sounds available and had an all pro year but that is not going to happen. The saints have not cleaned up their mess…they just keep pushing it forward and sucking. what great qbs are not making it to their late 30s? Cam Newton maybe is one example but he never was the passer Allen is. He could just hang it up early but all the recent greats have played that long or longer.
  15. I think there is enough smoke that says they are at least talking...they are "close", who knows.....Beane needs to always do what he thinks is right, not just appease fans....given what Cook brings to the table (good and not so good) and his output the last two years and the position of RB I understand the dilemma from both ends. His agent is doing his job, Beane is doing his, they don't HAVE to agree. This is negations, I believe it will likely get resolved. They could give him some void money next year without an extension. Diggs got an extra million or two a couple times in training camp. I think something gets done, it's a game of poker, right now Cook has the cards....when you get closer to the regular season and he stands to lose 1/17 of 5.2 million each week, it will be the Bills who have more leverage.....just let it play out.
  16. But Josh Allen will be on the roster in the future, probably another 10 years-ish
  17. Show up practice and be quiet…rhetorical question. That is not how I think about it but many others think they just expect him to play under his deal. I see both sides and not sure there is an easy solution. The bills could just stare him down and call his bluff. Is he going to give up game checks? He stands to make more in game checks this year than he has in his first three years which he has earned with salary escalators for his play time.
  18. So probably confirms the bills asked cook to participate in camp and they would negotiate. Sounds like things are not progressing.
  19. I have never waivered in my belief he will work out. I think he has the brains to do what McDermott and Babbich want and he has better athletic ability than our other safeties. I am very optimistic the safety play will improve this year.
