  1. Because most sacks in college does not just translate to the NFL. The competition matters...a lot. Evaluation takes hundreds of factor into account, one of which is production. Lots of other physical traits, performance in standardized testing, interviews etc.
  2. Those PSL's are not too bad
  3. I also understand your point and you are correct the Bills needed a QB, that is true. Right or wrong, it was not just McDermott's draft, the GM (Whaley) and his staff knew they were getting canned after the draft and the organization's plan was to let the new GM make the QB decision. I get the impression you don't like McDermott but he is the coach, not the GM, I don't think it is reasonable to criticize him in this case. Rumor was that Pegula loved Mahomes, no clue how the GM and personal staff had it ranked, it seemed like they were just not going to draft a QB. I get some on this board were furious, there were also some furious for drafting the "wrong Josh" and every other decision this team has ever made.
  4. The outcome of the trade is super one sided to KC, only some Bills fans would argue otherwise. However, to this part of you post, I would say they handed KC a prospect not a HOF QB. If the Bills traded Josh Allen in this past years draft for someone else's one that would be what you describe. Mahomes was not a surefire prospect. You are playing hindsight, you have to judge the trade based on what information was available at the time it happened. Analogous to two poker players going all in preflop, one with 7-8 suited and one with a pair of aces. A straight comes up for the guy with 7-8, that does not make that a good preflop decision.
  5. Interesting Beane said he would stick and pick Coleman unless someone knocked his socks off. Yet one pick earlier he took a typical deal to swap with the Panthers. To me this says he had Legette and Coleman rated about the same and since the Panthers grabbed one of them, he took the other.
  6. He does not exude confidence to me....and frankly never has....he has not had a lot of big moments.....that kick last year was by far his biggest kick in his career and he shanked it bad. The Lions game on Thanksgiving to win the game I believe hit the upright but it was good. The Philly kicker needs a 59 yarder in a rain storm and drains it.....Butker hits all his big kicks. Tucker is mostly money except in the playoff game vs the Bills which was an anomaly. There are 13 active kickers with a higher career FG% than Bass. Not sure his contract was justified but we are stuck with him for now. Hopefully he can turn it around in big moments next year.
  7. From what I see he has a $10M salary plus roster bonus in Caroliina and a $6M dead cap for the Steelers this year. Maybe but I think they are better off getting younger and trying to find a real difference maker on a smaller deal.
  8. At one point in time in Buffalo they found Van Miller and RJ......whatever they did for those searches should be done now.
  9. At one time that was sometimes your only option and if you ever had to do it, the person calling it is super critical to paint the picture.....it can be enjoyable on some level. But given the choice, everyone picks TV for obvious reasons and today you can always have that choice.
  10. I think moving on from BB is one thing, calling the owner of the Falcons unsolicited and telling him all the reasons he should not hire him is something else. They don't like each other but they are tied at the hip for the crazy run they had together.
  11. That is not why, the reason is Kraft is super sensitive and did not want to be picked on. BB wanted nothing to do with that shot.
  12. I dont doubt his talent, but I do doubt his performance in clutch situations, maybe that perception is wrong but like you said, in playoff games he has put up some stinkers.
  13. Oh I’m aware. She is the best.
  14. She is amazing...will have to watch this bit later!
  15. Sam Jay eviscerated him
  16. It is low risk because there is no financial commitment and no one is depending on Claypool. He will not be a bad apple that spoils the bunch because the Bills organization is driven by leadership. If he starts with nonsense he will be gong.
  17. I heard she just got back from Dallas
  18. This is interesting, probably had this agreed to ahead of time and Ross tested the waters. https://ca.news.yahoo.com/tom-brady-shuts-down-jokes-152723845.html
  19. Yeah I have no issue with the trade back. Beane did say they figured it was a WR.
  20. I get that their play time can affect things but you have to try and win the games with the guys on your roster. I mean what is Beane gonna say, hey McDermott I know Coleman is out this week with a hammy but leave Hollins on the bench cause we need that 5th round pick next year.
  21. Damar is a bottom 5 guy on the 53, he may or may not make it. A trade is possible but not likely and would have a very negligible affect on anything IMO.
  22. Beane specifically said the bolded did not happen. That is what I figured too but he did not ask and KC did not offer. But I think the rest of what you are saying is true, they likely had 2-4 guys bunched up and so trading down to get better picks later made sense.
