Yeah, that means he may or may not make the roster, he is on the edge

I don't get the question. The Bills did not decide he cant play football. They decided he can't play for the Bills on what his contract was so they waived him.

I don't agree with this....the year they went to the SB, he made some money plays to get past the Chiefs at critical moments. It is also true Josh Allen's playoff performance is superior to Burrow overall. Burrow has been very good in the post season. Plus when they went head to head he outperformed Allen in that one game. Burrow has been to the playoffs twice, once he made it to the SB and once tot he championship game. Allen has made it 5 times and only made one championship game. Now you can consider the team aspect of all of that but the reality is QB's are judged on team performance, especially in the playoffs.

How close is Allen to Mahomes if all things were equal?
Matt_In_NH replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
Turnover worthy throws and turnover worthy plays are stats you can find. Mahomes does not lead in those stats and it is true luck plays into it. Ther is no evidence of your conjecture. He does lead super bowls and stuff. That is probably my what is going on. -

Just listened to Sirius with Lekas and Mark Dominic....they ranked their top 4 QB's....one was Mahomes Jackson Burrow Allen, the other was Mahomes Burrow Jackson Allen. What was weird is they made all the arguments to put Allen ahead but they just gave it to Burrow and Jackson...specifically Dominic picked Jackson as two because he was "impressed with his availability" last year. He specifically talked about availability yet kept Jackson and Burrow who both have missed a ton of time ahead of Allen. Then Lekus went through how Allen has better stats than Jackson and he even mentioned Josh's great post season stats.....but they also mentioned turnovers and MVP's.... Jackson has not been good in pressure moments Burrow has. Whatever, it is what it is. -
The Giants oline last year was historically bad
Matt_In_NH replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
oh I agree, 85 sacks is so high it is enough to say the line is bad.....there was discussion of the Bills line and others which is what drove the comment -
It is not really close, Jones has had like 15 TD passes max in a season.

Using purely sacks is not a great indicator of how good or bad the OL performance is. How long does the QB hold the ball, does the QB get out of would be sacks? -

A QB stat not THE ONLY QB stat. You make it sound like he was arguing QB's get ranked by wins and losses and that's it. -

The argument with be coaching which has some merit but history will never see it that way, The 13 seconds things is so annoying because it never should have happened and it plays into the narrative that you cannot avoid until you beat him. -

I should have not included the injury risk thing....yes I was saying what I think others would say. I agree the reality is Jackson and Burrow have been the ones injured. In particular Jackson, he gets hobbled his effectivity goes in the toilet. Allen has played through things and finds ways to still be effective. -

Mahomes 15-3 in the postseason with 41 TD passes and 8 INT's Allen is 5-5 with 21TD passes and 4 INT's. If you add in rushing, you can argue Allen is better or same in both regular season and playoffs, there really is not a lot of difference in either. We could break down stats but they are both outstanding in the postseason. 15-3 vs 5-5 easily breaks the tie, 0-3 vs Allen vs Mahomes drives it home. All things considered you want the guy who is 0-3 vs the other guy who has been to what 5 straight AFC championship games, 4 SB's vs the guy who went to one championship game and lost to the other. What exactly are you considering? -

Just from postseason, if you pick Allen or anyone over Mahomes you are a homer. I would like to think Allen is two but that is not as clear to me, number one is obvious but there is a big gap between him and the next tier, of which Allen is a part of. Turnovers and "risk of injury" based on his style would be things point to as knocks on Allen. -
I just watched.....the conversations are a little less sophisticated that I would have thought, honestly not that different than you hear on talk radio in a lot of ways. "How much wear and tear" on the RB, they use age 27 as a gage, the number of RB's in FA....stuff you hear and read a lot about , etc.....They had a spreadsheet they showed that I would love to see the details behind.
