I expected them to have some success running the ball, I did not expect Henry to get 150 yards before contact.......their OL is new this year and they were struggling and hurt...I expected more from out DL. I get the data from last year but those teams are not the Bills caliber. Having said that I am good, not going to over react, just move on, the only thing that really matters is playoff success at this point, lose by 1 or 40 in week four...who cares.

I dont think it was every retired...but I think they have not given it out much. Senorise Perry wore it. Edit...it was "returned to circulation" in 19 https://billswire.usatoday.com/2019/05/22/buffalo-bills-return-32-oj-simpson-ralph-wilson-senorise-perry/

Agree the design was poor, execution just as bad. But the point it happened seemed fine, momentum was swinging big time, having that "work" would have potentially changed the way the rest of the game was played. A turnover there was terrible but I dont hate the idea of trying something, that play though seemed like it had no chance from the beginning. Josh should have ate it...there was nothing downfield. -
I get it the BIlls build the defense differently, is it really a problem though? Was it really even last night? Look at the plays Henry gained big yards, he was 100% untouched til he was well into the secondary and on the TD he was untouched, period. This is lack of fundamentals and getting in position. Now size and physicality can play into that but I see the problems last night as lack of discipline rather than just getting run over. Look at the Bills overall success on defense. The Bills have the least points against and second least yards against the last 5 years. I think the most recent game is making people draw incorrect conclusions. https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/nfl-defense-allow-fewest-yards-last-5-years https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/fewest-points-allowed-last-5-years-nfl

100%, This is just over-reaction to a loss. In the end the only thing that really matters is what happens or does not happen in the playoffs. At this point, this team could win all their games, but if they lose in the playoffs it will be the same as the last 4 years.

Why is Shakir most likely out? Did he go back out of the game? Rapp is in the protocol, could play this week.......but maybe not......no need to panick
-
I like him, from a strategic stand point I cant help but wonder if maybe letting him walk after this year and letting Grable/VanDemark take over could have been a good option. They are unknowns but you cannot/should not sign every "good" player to big contracts.

Listening to the WGR morning show....they are beside themselves on the 4th and short decisions....since they lost it is easy to go back and say hey just go and see what would have happened. They are pointing to analytics and are confused which is true, the analytics said go but I think it is clear McDermott uses more variables than analytics, specifically it seems obvious (to me) he is using his judgment of how likely his team is to push the other team around to pick up the first down. He correctly was not nearly as confident as the other games this year. The Ravens played this game desperately, had a great game plan and executed well. Sometimes this stuff happens, I am good moving on without panicking about "decisions" or "weapons"....for me the judgement will always be the playoffs. -
Why is scoring quickly better than scoring period? I think possessing the ball is pretty important against an opponent that is running the ball effectively.
-
Do they have the personnel to do that? I think the dl needed to be more effective. The numbers at lb are down. This defense is small it always has been and is their weakness.

Probably because it was a total beat down and did not come down to a my here or there. He did not lose the game it was a good total team effort.

I think McDermott is going by the fact they are getting blown up in the trenches. Not an easy yard tonight. -

Bo nix 7/15 for -7 yards. lol. Five guys with catches with no yards or negative yards. That is hilarious
