Rookie WR Separation win-rates thru week 5

It definitely tells you something but in and of itself it does not predict actual production. -

The one year he had 8 TD's which tied for the league leaders at TE and people literally thought he was a top TE because of that. WHen you pointed out catches and yards you got the "the point is to score TD's and he is the best at that" LOL -
Strength of Schedule for the rest of the year
Matt_In_NH replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not saying your comment is wrong about the AFC but I think preseason there tends to be an inflation on expectations....I am sure if you had people predict records for each team without balancing the whole league wins and losses, the average would be like 60% wins and 40% losses....in reality is has to be 50/50. Someone has to lose each game....ignoring ties of course. -
He has an injured left hand, do you realize that? He did not slide in week one, he injured his hand (not in the pocket btw) and he now needs to be careful. I am surprised how little attention that injury gets. It has affected game plans and his on the field decisions. The Bills were fortunate vs the Dolphins and Jags games that they did not need more out of Allen. Teams are adjusting to what the Bills are doing, now it is their turn to adjust, they will. Allen had 250 yards and 4 TD's in a half vs Jacksonville, he easily could have hit 300 in that game. Anyway, you should not be focused on stats but wins/losses. I guess you forgot last year they were 6-6 with careless 18 INT JA? He personally lost a couple of those games with carelessness. I get you dont want him reserved not wanting to make a mistake, I don't see that. Not turning it over is a good thing BTW: Guess who has more iNT's than Allen since the start of last year? The guy in KC...

Hire Saleh as defensive coordinator IMMEDIATELY

And the OP would start a thread to fire him next week. -
Crap, that sucks, first week after a firing the team usually is pretty inspired. But..........its more like Rodgers fired Salah!

Does he just make decisions without any input from others today? I did not think that was how it was working.

Josh Allen Performance Yesterday..a Redux
Matt_In_NH replied to Rich Stadium Original's topic in The Stadium Wall
Citing one play is not helpful. Josh is not an anticipatory passer...you can be offended by that, it is just a factual observation. Look at time to throw and % of first read throw metrics over his years in the league. If you think that bullet to Kincaid in the seam and the next pass where he just threw it up are good plays good. He did not have his best game, not saying he is bad.....Mahomes has not been good this year, does not make him a bad QB...game by game sometimes you are on and sometimes not. Unbunch the panties. -
And all the fans loved that stupid extension when it happened.

Not challenging Dalton sideline catch or Cook TD
Matt_In_NH replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
There is nothing McDermott can do that won’t get criticized. When he losses challenges he gets hammered. When he does not challenge calls that had not chance of getting overturned he gets criticized. Just to be clear those were not calls that should have been challenged. They were clear as day called correctly with 0 chance of getting overturned. What are we doing here? -

Worst (regular season) coached game in the entire McD era

Run run run punt would have been the safe conservative thing to do. -
The close game record is bad compared to the Chiefs....but the 25-2 is exceptional. There have been some incredible losses. THe one yesterday for me does not rise up as much as it does to many becuase the Bills looked like the second best team on the field for the second week in a row. That is what I find disturbing. Last year you lost to the Eagles, the Broncos, the Jets, the Patriots and I did not feel that way. The only game last year I thought they were second best was the Bengals game. They were in the game yesterday because Stroud made a couple bad plays and they started having terrible penalties.

I'm really starting to love this WR room. We quietly got better
Matt_In_NH replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cooper is realistic if the Browns are willing to deal. I don't think they necessarily have to go trade for one but that is fine if they get it done. They need to use Samuel or MVS more in that role immediately. He cannot track a deep ball for anything. -
Josh Allen Performance Yesterday..a Redux
Matt_In_NH replied to Rich Stadium Original's topic in The Stadium Wall
I did not say he does not throw to tight windows....he does not throw to his first read much compared to the rest of the league and that has been a hallmark of his in the NFL. He has been described as a see it throw it guy vs a guy that throws with anticipation. He holds the ball long traditionally and that is what happened the last two weeks which results in more pressure. You can think that is insane but it is all actually factual. You can look at first read percentages and time to throw metrics.... -
Josh Allen Performance Yesterday..a Redux
Matt_In_NH replied to Rich Stadium Original's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Josh likes to wait and see guys open rather than throw with anticipation. When he was getting off his first read he was under pressure. Furthermore the Texans were chasing him down quicker than we typically see. I know people will say guys are not open. And I know they took the short stuff away. There has to be other options they were not planned to take advantage of. It seems like they are putting more guys in the box. You have to counter it and make them pay. Josh was bad at times yesterday. The throw to Kincaid and then next play he was flustered. -

As if they gives you better information than a camera zoomed in on him from multiple angles.
