Not challenging Dalton sideline catch or Cook TD
Matt_In_NH replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
You did not know that at the time. Even if you think you won’t need the timeouts you have to treat them as valuable as they might be. You are probably the same person who would complain if they needed a timeout but lost one on a challenge. Guess what? they were NOT winning those, he did the smart right thing. -
Week 7 - Titans at Bills Game Week Thread
Matt_In_NH replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Rewatched Mondays game but with manningcast. Belicheck made a point of how slow the bills team defense is and has been for years. All late rounders and guys not drafted in the secondary. Said they have tried to address it but has not worked. -
Mason Rudolph to start vs. Bills tomorrow

That sucks -
Darrynton Evans practice window opened.

I would counter with why did they put him on ir with designation to return on cutdown day? I mean I get it he’s a fringe player but they did use a valuable ir return designation on him. Not that they have ever used all 8. Cook and Davis are both banged up though. We will see… -
What exactly is the real story with Mike Edwards?
Matt_In_NH replied to Jukester's topic in The Stadium Wall
He signed a one year 2.8M deal. He’s not that good, and was injured all preseason. Even if Hamlin gets replaced it will be bishop first. He is depth at this point. -
I wonder what the plan is for him. One more week and they have to decide to leave him on IR or waive him. Why would they open the practice window without any RBs heading to IR? Wonder if he is pushing to get activated or released so he can potentially play elsewhere.

We will find out before the start of next season when he signs his extension.......

So about the refs tonight UPDATE: Rams game discussion on page 14

Biased fan you are that was not a catch and very obvious at that. You don’t remember how it was. You just want anything close to favor the bills. -
Solid analysis
-
Beane definitely made me think it’s just a matter of when.
-
This gets brought up all the time. All the analysis I have heard from people who know say it’s a silly idea. Why? Not because some cbs cannot become safeties but because cbs with a certain skill set can. The skill set is opposite to what Elam brings to the table. You have to be good at zone a that is where Elam struggles. He just wants to use his athletic ability and not be a cerebral player. The bills thought they could take his man skills and add to it zone skills which requires more thinking and less athleticism. It has not worked. So it’s frankly a terrible idea. Douglass and benford could be guys who can transfer to safety but that is also a bad idea right now.

The difference between the Bills and Chiefs is Chris Jones.
Matt_In_NH replied to Allen2Moulds's topic in The Stadium Wall
The bills don’t have a Chris jones so no argument there. However the difference is more confidence that they can always win and game management in tight situations. The chiefs are cocky in close games and expect to make plays to win. The bills all wait for someone else to step up and make a play. Allen has it but on defense it does not really exist. I’m talking when you play the chiefs type situations. Not the jets. And they have Butger. The lumber if games this team has lost to 57 plus you’re fgs compared to how many they have snatched that way (zero) is a big difference. It’s not injuries -
Bernard sucked as a rookie. Dorian Williams sucked as a rookie. Rapp was not that good his first year here. Patience my friend. Patience … development in process

Top four NFL teams in point differential are the NFC north teams
Matt_In_NH replied to Matt_In_NH's topic in The Stadium Wall
That actually helps explain it. That is weird. Usually the nfl likes to start and end the season with divisional matchups. -
Wasted cap….not all moves work out.
