  1. He's a hot head. He has a history of mouthing off to refs and getting flagged for it, probably more of that. Great player but that stuff is inexcusable.
  2. Not with an aging overpriced vet. It wont change anything this year. The QB has to be able to read and process defenses pre and post snap first.
  3. People got crazy after we signed Harvin who hadn't done anything in years. He continued that and then it was Woods was just a blocker, Hogan was a lacrosse player......no one saw the talent then. I am not saying the guys today measure up to those guys but they woudl be better if the QB could get them the ball on time. Right now the QB (Allen) cant do that, these guys are not 32 because of the WR's its because of the QB. A competent QB would have the offense performing better. Maybe Allen needs to grow and need time/experience but to place all the blame of his lack of production on WR's is nonsense.
  4. Arm talent and scored high on wonderlic.......yeah I know all about it.
  5. And when he is here getting 2-3 looks a game and drops a couple passes, what will people say? "We dont have any wr's" QB's make WR's WR's dont make QB's Get a QB first.
  6. These boards are full of hindsight warriors however not selecting Mahomes is more relevant to Buffalo than the other teams since they traded the pick to the Chiefs for the sole purpose of collecting draft capital to get a QB in the future.
  7. They are trying to do items 1 and 3. Committing to Peterman is a terrible idea. Special teams could improve and it wont change anything. The main problem is the level of ineptness at QB is off the charts bad, worse than 1985 bad. No amount of running the ball or leaning on the defense or starting an interception machine will change that. As far as post season....its over. There is however valuable time and opportunity for Allen to get some experience and hopefully improve.
  8. I agree, if one player is clearly way better you have to go that route. Virgil is also not wrong though but I would argue they can make huge strides on offense both in the draft and in FA with all the money available. Question though, is it ever ok to draft a first round qb two years in a row? I get Allen needs time but if he does not work out where are we?
  9. 1 step plan: 1. time machine to mid January. This ain't gonna be pretty no matter what.
  10. Is that josh Allen as a teenager?
  11. he earned the right!
  12. Wrong. Might have been true under Wilson, not today.
  13. The Coleman money is awful, the Bills got a 3.2 million dollar cap it and lost a draft pick for......nothing! The signs were there, the way that guy handled himself.....talent with no work ethic is useless.
  14. Does not rushing him back mean he could play if he was a superstar but since he is playing poorly its a convenient reason to play someone else for a while?
  15. I am not sure its fair to put this on him, the QB's have not executed at all no matter what the call is. I do blame the coaches for concluding Peterman was the starter and McCarron was expendable. And Allen was ready when he was not. However one area where the Bills are close to the bottom in the league is holding, illegal formation and false starts. I think this is coaching, especially illegal formation. They need to get that crap cleaned up ASAP.
  16. It is too early for all of them but Darnold and Mayfield are ahead of Allen clearly. Not sure on Rosen.
  17. That is my point, wr's dont matter until you have a QB. QB's can make WR's WR's cannot make a QB. Get a QB first. Even wiht bad WR's you should see signs Back on BBMB I saw a lot of this: Woods is just a blocker Goodwin is a glass doll who plays track Hogan is a lacrosse player who would not make other teams rosters Watkins is always injured and has no qb to throw him the ball. I know not everyone thought those things there was a narrative that WR was the problem. WR was not the problem then. Woods could put up great numbers with the right QB, he was not respected well by a lot of fans. While today's WR's dont measure up to those guys, I will still argue WR is not the problem. It starts with a quarterback who can give guys a chance. We dont have that right now.
  18. Other than Watkins who was injured people thought that group was trash.
  19. Agreed, the combination of the HC and 12 for 2 decades is remarkable that it lined up that way. I am just ready for it to be over though, it gets really old. BTW: what part of NH are you in? I am also in NH....
  20. The Bills used to feel that way in the early nineties. That lasted probably 5-6 years.l This team is up to 18 years, it is ridiculous. The feel entitled because they are. Arrogant? yeah they are that too but that is true of people from Boston in general. I live in NE, the watercooler discussions you here are sickening. "Oh man if we lose this game we might not get home field advantage throughout the playoffs". Actually making the playoffs.....that is a given (100% certainty) but it is not something to aspire to. They are not at all happy with anything other than home field throughout. Even the second seed, they complain. Another one is "we should not play Gronk til the playoffs" or at the very least only play him in certain regular season games. This gets talked about a fair amount and I actually kind of agree. But what a luxury to know you can get to the playoffs and probably have a bye and home field while resting one of your best players. It is sickening.
  21. One was questionable. But if the Bills had Hopkins and the opposing DB had 3 holding penalties these boards would be talking about all the mugging that was not called. White is awesome, he should be in the pro bowl this year for sure.
