Nothing would be different in the end. The Bills would have the same record they will have this year without them. A lot of Bills fans thought Hogan was a joke/gimmick/clown who would not make other teams rosters when he was in Buffalo. Funny how now they see him as a great WR when in reality he has done in NE similar things to what he did here if you adjust for the fact he has the best QB throwing to him. Basically his numbers went up a little bit even though now he is a starter while in Buffalo he was 3rd.
Poyer was a great pickup and stopped two TD's himself yesterday. Other teams will score plenty on this defense though and they are not close to being the best in the league. Statistically they probably are way up there today but its two weeks against struggling offenses.
Along with the cord cutters, NFL Network has taken a lot of their NFL viewers. Over the years I watch less and less sports and other than MNF which I no longer watch cause I dont have ESPN, I have no desire to have ESPN.
Trading dareus would require an ossweiler type trade. We would have to give up a pick also and get nothing in return or a lesser pick. If they want Taylor then he goes in but they may not. It would take picks. Lots of picks plus maybe some good your players like Lawson and white. Even then they would not do it.
Incognito had two holding penalties I believe. I think he is always pushing that fine line.....no compalints just pointing it out.
I was really impressed with Poyer in the run game, real agressive..
I have not read through the responses but I absolutely think this is a game the Bills could win. If they take care of the ball and limit what Carolina does on offense they will win. Both of those things are possible, Newton is not himself right now. I would say there have like a 40% chance.
I do watch other games and teams like the Pats, Packers do not play it safe the entire 4th quarter when they are up by 9. Up by 19, yeah sure, not up by nine. You are wrong, you are stuck in 1992 football.
I just dont like being predictable and sometimes a longer drive can drain more time of the clock than a run run run punt. The best teams dont do this. Yeah the running game is the strength but the Jets were going 8 or 9 in the box expecting the run and we gave it to them. Other than a 3rd and 10 boot leg there was little success. With a running QB like Taylor you can roll him out and give him the option, if the pass is there take it or else get what you can. Statistically ~65% of the time you will still be able to run clock on a pass play. That can be higher with a QB who understand situation football. IE taking a sack can be better than an incompletion at times.
I thought the playcalling for three quarters was really good. It was nice to see some screens, nice to see Clay targeted, nice to see the new regime has not broken the running game.
Hoiwever, the playcalling in the fourth quarter was "play to not lose" and I hate that. With 8 minutes left you need to keep your foot on the gas still and trust your QB who is known for taking care of the ball. The great teams dont go to run run run punt or run run pass punt when they are up by 9 with 8 minutes to go.
Yeah things changed in the fourth quarter. As others have said, there were a lot of 3 step and out plays. Also, McCown is a pro, he knows how to get rid of the ball.
My only complaint is lack of pass rush by the front 4. And it is not as much a complaint as it is a surprise...I believe in time they will show their abilities. But can we really complain when they give up 212 yards?
We will never see what could have been from this clown. He got his 50 million and is not a motivated individual. I think we all need to accept that and the Bills should move on as soon as the opportunity arises. Which could be at the end of next season.
