  1. Agree, but I dont think it matters how you choose the years, if you get to a per game average Gronk is significantly ahead.
  2. Gates averages 767 yards and 7.6 TD's per year, 52 yards and 0.52 TD's per game Gronk averages 897 yards and 9.5 TD's per year. 70 yards and 0.75 TD's per game.
  3. Comparing a TE today to one from the seventies is hard to do, the game and that position has changed quite a bit. He definitely has durability issues. But all I am saying is if you were to look at production per game or production per year even (which would hit him for his durability) I think you will see his yards and TD's per game/season is at the top of the list. To me he is the hardest TE to cover I have ever seen. He catches balls and scores TD's when he is completely covered, he just boxes them out with that enormous torso.
  4. This just sounds like you dont like him to me. Break it down per game and show us how yards and TD's are in Olsen and Vernon Davis and Graham territory. If he quits now it affects him but people can and will still consider him among the best ever. Just like Jim Brown who quit early. People do remember how dominant you are during the time you did play. Terrell Davis is in the HOF and he had maybe 4 good years. For example Vernon Davis has played 13 years vs 8 for Gronk, Grong has like 20% more TD's while playing half the games yet you consider that "in the same territory" Gronk's per catch average is historical.
  5. No guarantees with a high draft pick. The drought is over!
  6. How could they not be spoiled though. 7 straight AFC Championship games and after coming back against the Jags and last years Super Bowl......12 AFC championship games and 8 SB's since 2001. I would never have believed that was possible if it was not true.
  7. freeze it at 37 seconds, that clown in the middle thought somethign good was gonna happen, hahaha. Seriously a lot of the casual fans were more shocked that their super hero did not win in the end like he has some kind of magic power.
  8. Yeah I remember either Steven Baker or Mark Ingram converting a ridiculous third down where like 6 people missed tackles. There were a few awful third down conversions by the Giants....ugg!!!!!!!!
  9. I hate seeing Norwood up there. Scott Norwood was a good kicker but had a short range which was nkown, so short we would never make it in the NFL today. However, he was not the reason the Bills lost, he did not choke, the team choked and he is the scape goat. That 47 yard kick was out of his range on grass, the offense did not get in range and mismanaged the clock. Pretty sure the rumors of the partying all week are true.
  10. Jeffery checked with the official, this was legal. There is a lot of leeway given with receivers and lineman being "on the line". OTs are often a couple yards back on obvious pass plays. https://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2018/2/4/16972192/nick-foles-touchdown-illegal-formation
  11. But they watch all those NFL films specials they are on NFL network all the time. If they did not care, why would they watch?
  12. No matter how bad one decision was yesterday you can't ignore the rest of his history. Results are the most important thing.
  13. Hopefully Buffalo has an area team or something
  14. You have to take into account the era. Montana played when it was open season on QB's and had to stand in there and take true beatings. Today, you can hit high, cant hit low, cant hit after they throw it. So Brady has had way more bites at the apple because you can be way healthier these days. Having said all that, Brady has played in 8 SB's, like 12 AFC championship games, has a winning percentage way better than Montana or anyone ever. His stats stand out above others across the board. I think you can argue Montana over Brady but for it is also valid (probably more so) to argue Brady over Montana. The 28-3 game last year is totally unprecedented in a SB. yet here we are talking about Montana, what has he done lately?
  15. Whatever, They play in one of 5 SB's and win 1 of every 10. They have played in the most, one off the most wins and tied for most losses. So the losses are expected based on how many times they have been there. There is a bunch of other stuff with BB and Brady that is totally unprecedented. It was great to see them lose though. That game had more yards than any NFL game ever.
  16. While I do agree BB wont be going to another team, I disagree no one will give him control, why would they not? Some teams would not, like the Cowboys, but there would be teams that would give him total control. Kraft may have overuled him that one time, other than that it has been the BB show for like 20 years.
  17. I live in NE and basically that is what everyone wants to know. A couple rumors I heard....he was really emotional about something and he was sick. But he was asked after the game and he said the Pats gave up on him. He played over 90% of plays all years, this was pretty odd.
