You could try to match whatever contract he gets offered. But you could get out bid and you could end up in a situation where the oc makes more than the hc. It might also depend on his desires. There are going to be a lot of jobs and they will want someone who can work with a young qb. Whether he is or is not responsible for Allen’s development does not really matter. He will reap the rewards.

The one difference between Josh and those he is compared to is that the others have post season success and Super Bowl titles. I am talking Mahomes Wilson and Rodgers. So if that is who Josh is then that is what we can and should expect. I agree we can have the discussion but without the hardware it’s not an easy debate to persuade others outside WNY.

The Jets are way better than their record talent wise. Same was true of the Dolphins last year when they were 0-8. The players and the coaching staff (who will get fired soon) could care less about a draft pick, they have pride and dont' want to go 0-16. What could the Jets do here really? It should be close. for what it is worth Reich had 6 tds that year also so the bills had 39 which was a ridiculous number in those days. The bills have 30 this year so that is in play also but much less so.

Bennett has borderline stats at best. So look at post season.....he has like no post season stats despite lots of games played. Like 2 sacks. That and the sex offender thing I do t think so. I predict Tasker gets in. With all the guys they let i. Last year it opens things up a bit. He never won nfl DPOY what did he do in the post season despite all those opportunities? He was a game changer at times but often was invisible. He played with the best pass rusher of all time and never got to double digit sacks.

The NFL rarely sees a qb get “developed” like Allen has. He has gotten so much better year 1 to year 3 to year 3. Not only that but during the year he has gotten better. Daboll is getting credit for that right or wrong and will get offers in my opinion.
