You can never have enough quality WR's

It did not seem fine to me. If he was healthy he would have made more plays.

The Bucs made the foot an issue in the SB. Only if the Bill had done that better....

[Dead cap] With the Goff and (pending) Wentz trades...

Can the designate post June 1 trade to spread out the hit? -
Defenses led Brady to his last two rings
Matt_In_NH replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Things go his way when it matters. Penalties, other players on his teAm, defense. Whatever needs to happen happens with that dude. It’s remarkable. -
Joe B article speculates John Brown will be cut
Matt_In_NH replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Kenny Stills is a UFA. And we can say the same thing about Brown, a healthy John Brown in 21 will easily outperform John Brown's 2020. -
More young qb talent in the afc.

Drew Brees renegotiates, now making the league minimum.
Matt_In_NH replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah this makes sense, so the only weird thing happening is he wont officially retire until after June 1. Is that circumventing the cap, maybe, either way the Saints have to take the hit, just a matter of it is all one year or spread over two. Teams do this all the time by waiting til June 1 to cut players...so an retiree waiting to retire seems reasonable. -

So his salary was 25 million and they cut it to 1 million? He also has a 5.75 million signing bonus hit and 5.4 million restructure bonus accoridn to spotrac. It looks to me like if he retires after June 1, ht still had a 11.5 million dead cap hit. Unless he is "giving that bonus money" back? -

I dont get how this saves 24 million on their cap. -
That time was in the past and you are probably right. But you can’t always blame the parents. I imagine Reid is not sure how to handle Britt after he lost a son to overdose. But you could argue giving him a prestigious job is enabling. I feel for Andy I guess as a parent but don’t know him or his culpability.

On paper it looks like one of the best in Bills history. Not the best though, way too early to say that. If Teller had stayed here it would look better to me.

Got ya, I dont know the market well for punters. I would think RoFR with the fact everyone has to deal with reduced cap. Most teams have their own cap issues to work around. There is always a risk. If the 2nd round tender is cheap for a punter I guess I would do that. But the cap will mean some tough decisions if its 175.

I’m warming up to the JJ Watt idea
Matt_In_NH replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
His current output is not that great. I mean he is a cool dude and would be great in the community and in the locker room but he is not the JJ Watt of 5 years ago in terms of on field production, he no longer exists. Severe back injuries are bad for a defensive lineman. -
[Vague Title] deion jones falcons
Matt_In_NH replied to dbfla10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That guy is really good. But it has to be a post June trade for it to work for the Falcons so it would have to be next years first I think. That guy is awesome and probably worth it. -
Source: LB Matt Milano looking for “top dollar” in FA
Matt_In_NH replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Matt Milano should do what is best for him. The Buffalo Bills should do what is best for them. Those won't necessarily line up.- 599 replies

Imagine what the package would be for Josh?
Matt_In_NH replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is no package. He is not under consideration trade. The situation in Houston is a big outlier. Someone may pay a what looks like a big price to get an extremely rare asset. -
Who do I blame? CLEVELAND!!

Brandon Beane end of season press conference 1/27 11am
Matt_In_NH replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe he has....but don't take his word for it....what GM's say in front of camera's does not always line up with what they do down the road. Being a GM in the NFL means you will get it wrong a fair amount of time, those who get it right more often go deep in the playoffs. I live in NE and they all complain about how bad a GM and drafter Belichick is....yet he has won 6 SB's and went to 9. Here they say they mismanage the WR position -
If I were Houston, my strategy to rebuild
Matt_In_NH replied to Cson76's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would put all my efforts into figuring out how to get Watson back in their camp. Also I think Watson has a no trade thing in his deal, he could veto.... -
The money for FA's will be less....for everyone! All 32 teams and all the players are in the same boat/playing by the same rules. The owners wont give the players a bigger percentage of revenues out of the goodness of their hearts. All people involved are healthily compensated, there will be some reductions. Like many not in football have had to deal with after the real estate crash in 2008 and during this Pandemic. Teams will get creative with structuring contracts....the Bills will still be really good next year.
