I have a bad feeling about this game, probably just beat down from 2 decades of not being about to get past these guys. Living in NE, I really need t hem to win this game. There is no excuse, the Bills are better. The mistakes need to stop and you need to stop the run, these guys will run it down your throat like the Chiefs did if we let them. And BB usually makes life difficult for Josh, and then Josh gets overly amped/tries to do too much.

I guess the OP has an axe to grind with Aikman.....which is fine. Aikman did say "Allen proved me wrong" about accuracy. Anyway, Aikman's stats or success as a player are totally irrelevant to his job as a commentator, he needs to judge the players no matter how good or bad he was as a player.
-
You can’t compare his era to today. Completion percentage in the nfl is way up. If you did you might conclude Allen is better than Aikman.

I don’t agree they should dial back complexity. The penalties was the one argument you gave other than the complexity itself. When there is a perceived lack of success on offense people tend to blame it on coaching. Defenses are clearly dealing with josh differently since the first 4 games. A lot more zone and not as much man. the bills did not punt today. Or score a td. So they moved the ball well between the 20’s.....really well! They need to finish better/execute better. The presnap motion and subsequent reads are important.

I dont agree. Illegal formation and false starts are unforced mental errors not caused by playbook complexity. That can happen no matter what the complexity is. This is more lack of focus than too much complexity. I do think maybe they need to make some strategy adjustments though. More called runs for rb’s is needed IMO.

This is what we all have been waiting for, this is the game in the first half of the schedule i circled as the game we need to have, the game I most want them to win. I don't care if the Pats are 2-4, beating these guys at this point in the season will be huge for the Bills and us fans. A loss would not be the end of the world but it will feel like past seasons to some degree. I so wish we had fans at the game, a full house. This week will be filled with anticipation and anxiety for me. Beat those you know whats!!!!!!!!!

They needed that half.

5-2 3-0 in division Daboll/Allen need to learn how to deal with zone but I think they will it was good for Bass to get all these kicks. He need time to develop. go 49ers the first two above are the key. Don’t complain about how difficult this game was

Based on what I have seen from him I hope we do t need to use him much. Hopefully his lack of ability to make people miss is related to his toe. Singletary is much better right now. today is a game your franchise qb puts the team in his back -

Quinton Spain released; signs with Bengals PS
Matt_In_NH replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree, the guarantees were not large, however they waived him and ate his money after 6 games. That's a bad deal, yet they moved on. Other regimes may have tried to hold on. At the end of the deal not all draft picks or FA's work out. Willingness to see/admit that and move on is key. There have been teams to waive a second round pick after 1 year but that is relatively rare. -

I think you can both be right. A second round pick you were desperate for and traded up for is different than some of the other situations. And we are not necessarily talking about benching him for a game, with the depth on this roster decisions have to be made about who stays and who goes. Was Beane making the decision to play Ford over Spain? Or is he putting pressure on the staff to play him? Maybe they see more raw ability and upside or maybe they evaluate differently than some fans/websites are. In general I agree that the sign of a good GM/staff is the willingness to move on from someone you thought a lot of. A high second round pick gets more slack than a lower end pick or undrafted guy. On the flipside they did move on after 6 games from a guy they just signed to a 3 year extension. -

I think this is more a case by case basis. When they signed him to that extension I think they would have expected him to be playing. So that obviously did not go that way, he is a fairly high paid backup, bad attitude, you can save some loot on the cap, sometimes its best to cut bait and move on. In another situation you dont just get released. I think they also wanted a roster spot for Zimmer in the near term. -
Trevor Lawrence Advised to Avoid Jets
Matt_In_NH replied to bobobonators's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just so long as they lose this week!!! Seriously, same stuff was said about the Dolphins last year, they were 0-8 but ended up 5-11. Things can change, if they fire Gase, they could easily get an attitude adjustment and win some games. They are different situations though, Flores is actually a good leader, unlike Gase who seems like a total clown. -
Pretty shocking stat I just heard on Michael Kay Show
Matt_In_NH replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't find this shocking at all, it's what I know having lived through it. In fact we are not bottom 25%, its worse than that. The Bills have not won a playoff game in 25 years nor had a home playoff game! The Bills did not make the playoffs for like 20 years (remember "the drought")....forget a championship game, they have been among the leagues chumps since I graduated college and moved to New England. A place where their team goes to the AFC championship game more than half the years. A place where people are fatiqued of watching their team in a divisional playoff game and willing try to sell the tickets off. A place where winning a playoff game is expected sort of like the sun coming up...the only question is if they will win the SB in any given year. A great QB and coach can lead to long term sustained success. Hopefully that is what we have brewing and we can beat those #######s in two weeks. -

So is it 6 or 8 teams who have not been to a championship game?
