Exactly, you can't just dictate who someone wants..they especially dont want that contract. Overall, this makes me a little sad cause he seemed to embrace Buffalo but you have to make tough decisions. -
This will help pay for that Josh Allen extension..........

The signs of even better things to come from Josh Allen
Matt_In_NH replied to jwhit34's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good post, I am also very optimistic but in regards to #2, that is not seeable in the preseason, especially in the work/game situations he had in the preseason. The way I see this, where he has shown issues is when the game is on the line or if the offense is struggling and he wants to score, he has taken some bad sacks or done some unnecessarily risky things. When things are going well and the offense is moving the ball/scoring, I agree he has shown great poise. What happens in the 4th quarter when they are down 9 points against the Chiefs.....we will find out. -

The practice facility is ridiculous -
Absolutely. Lots of salary cap gymnastics are possible in the off season.

Bills and Steelers to get #2 CBS announcing team
Matt_In_NH replied to Greg S's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I guess everyone has their things they pay attention to. I have never noticed the left tackle thing. But I do notice the pep and excitement at which he calls the game, especially big moments, he nails it for me. -

Seriously, why is that guy not ranked higher? -
Agree, there is a small chance he gets extended playing time due to an injury or Covid or something and his value increases to where they could franchise tag him. The Patriots did that with Matt Cassell.

Comparison to 90s SB teams
Matt_In_NH replied to BoccesOnTransit's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With today's rules, today's team is better. With the rules then the 90's team would demolish this team. Both teams were deep but the 90's team has superior high end talent. But on the other hand the players might have not been as dedicated off the field and drank more than they should have, especially before the Giants SB. Again though some of that is the rise of sports science. -
trade idea - Jake Fromm to ATL
Matt_In_NH replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This would be a 6th or seventh or even an exchange of late round picks. No way would Atlanta offer a 4th -
Same as it was last week.

When you have a franchise qb all the wrs are magically better than they would be otherwise. I don’t think Kumerow is a lock unless he can be a key contributor on special teams.

If we have to choose: McDermott or Daboll?
Matt_In_NH replied to Westside Madness's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This question was answered last year when Dabol interviewed for jobs. The HC job here is Mcdermott's, I dont see anyone in the Bills organization thinking differently. So I kind of understand the point/question, we will still have McDermott. -
Bojo Esque from his first two years. Bojo cleaned up the shanks last year. I thought this guy is supposed to be consistent?
-
probably a 6/10 but a 9/10 if drinking....so mostly 9/10

Football fans are back in Pittsburgh (fight)

Completely agree! -
I am so curious to see if his seeming dominance continues in the regular season.

I remember on the old BBMB a lot of people saying move on from Kyle Williams when he had repeated bone spur issues in the middle of his career. But at the same time that was a different team. This team is deep and its a hard roster to make, whether its bad luck, bad genes, weak joints whatever, availability has to factor in.

She instigated the whole the physical confrontation on the video, no question. Who knows what was said previously but she was in his face aggressively, he kind of pushed her out of his face which was reasonable. -

People are dumb and I have never been in a situation even close to escalating like this. People should not hit each other, if you slap someone there is no predicting the response no matter male/female, whatever. Initiate a violent attack expect to be retaliated against. The boyfriends sure took the brunt of it though...just cause his girl was dumb -
It is one thing to just stash a guy for next year by putting them on IR before the 53 is settled. But not having the option to bring them in this year kind of sucks. An alternative is to make an initial 53 with a mix of guys you think are most likely to get claimed even if they have injuries, then putting a guy on IR and signing someone back (say a LB) that is needed but not as likely to get claimed. How soon after you make the 53 can you put someone on IR? Stevenson is a guy that comes to mind, supposedly in boot after yesterday's game. Would like to keep him but also would like the option to bring him onto the roster if something goes bad with McKenzie. Maybe he would want to get on a different team. There are three tackles in from of him on this roster I find it hard to think he would ever surpass in the next 3 years unless injuries occur.
