  1. I figured I would get this response and while I am no expert, my opinion is pace is a factor in quarterbacking. If Allen winds up and throws a heater on a screen to a QB 5 yards away no one would catch it even if it hits him in his hands. That was a hypothetical, not what happened to show my point obviously. I dont necessarily disagree, Brown should catch that but I also think pace was a factory there.
  2. Agreed, going into a playoff game it makes sense to use this more of an option than in the regular season. However they made it a staple for no reason. Passing the ball worked, they needed to stick with what got them here a little more. A few runs, yes I'm good with that but there were a few too many. Especially against a D that is fantastic vs the run and terrible vs the pass. What I am about to say here is not Josh hate, I love what he has become, he has improved way more than I thought was possible but there is still room for improvement. Josh tensed up in the 4th quarter and we saw some "bad Josh". Earlier in the 4th he was throwing harder than normal, the ball that went through Brown's hands, the next to Beasley where there was good RAC opportunity but his bullet made him go to the ground to secure the catch. We saw this a lot more in his first two years. A lot of what has made him better this year is appropriate pace on the ball. He wants to make a play on every play so when the defense puts him in a position where he is getting wrapped up he fights through, gets out and guess what, another guy shows up. Sometimes you have to just take the sack. Go back to the second half vs the Rams, they did this to him consistently, pressure up the middle and then there was a guy in his escape lane on the edge. That is when bad things can happen. On that down and distance, a sack was not the end of the world, a turnover is. Having said all that, these types of plays happen way less frequently now and I think getting a win in a playoff game will help calm him down. He can now build off the success of winning a playoff game.
  3. For me he is the first guy I want to sign out of him feliciano and Milano. But probably the most expensive also.
  4. Other than the occasional run run run punt playcalling....
  5. This can be interpreted in a couple ways.
  6. So is this some kind of favor to him like they did with the QB last week? Or is he a BRU(Beasley Replacement Unit)?
  7. In any given game, strategy, gameplan, matchups and turnovers can have a huge affect...even allowing a great team to lose to a good team on the road. It is possible.....and I am sure running the ball is a big part of the Colts plan...on offense. They will need similar plans on defense and special teams.
  8. A few thoughts. 1. Social media/artificial intelligence is at least partly responsible for this. People get fed more of what they spend time on. They see little and eventually none of what they skip over. Then they see others who agree with their viewpoints. It all feeds on itself. 2. Large numbers of people of incredibly gullible and are being manipulated like puppets. I find this really disturbing. Our president tells people what to believe and they believe it no matter how untrue it is. 3. Humans are territorial by nature. Anyone read the book Sapiens?
  9. Try swimming across the top of the falls. No one will suspect that
  10. Im good with this.....cant ask for a better situation to get the playoff win thing behind us....that will leave only one more river to cross! I guess you would prefer a bye but they get to stay focused...just gotta stay healthy!
  11. If we are winning 28-3 at halftime then come out and get pick 6 off Rivers I would get nervous.
  12. Agree 100%. Cherish the moment, you don't know when you get it again, lots of things can happen. The Bills are in a great position injury wise, Josh coming into his own and they are set up against a 7 seed, a team that would not be in the playoffs in any previous year. The AFC is deep but the way it seeded, it has lined up nicely, especially if Pitt beats Cleveland. Now is the time, not some future year!
  13. Speed up Josh Allen....when I say speed him up, I mean affect him, make him throw it before he wants. Just having him scramble to buy time does not count, sack him, make him throw it as you are hitting him, etc. The Rams and Steelers both had some success with this. Other than that, big plays in turnovers and special teams can always be an equalizer.
  14. The reality is it is not all that different than Bills forums. A lot of fans in general have a hard time being objective.
  15. "Being the armpit of America will make you a bitter bunch" We might be the arm pit but then they are the butt hole. Here is a great quote from the Allen thread: "Tua is further along than Allen in decision making and accuracy." That is hilarious.........what a bunch of clueless clowns
  16. I figured some of their fans would say that. The only play that really showed this was the pass to Davis. Which I can sort of understand but the Dolphins were stat building and continuing to try and get back in the game so it if was over maybe they should have let off the gas some. Some of being a good play caller is doing the opposite of what the defense thinks you are going to do. The Dolphins are stacking the box expecting you to run clock, throw it over their heads and make them defend more, I have no issue with that.
  17. I saw rawness. I saw talent. I saw desire. I saw passion. But I had no idea he would turn into what we have watched this year.
  18. So now 3/17 games are against the team that finished in your same place the previous year. Washington is a good draw for a 1 seed. But I was thinking about this and in another year it could have been the Bills vs Packers and Dolphins vs Lions as the extra game....something like that could swing things under the right circumstances.
  19. I trust Beane and McDermott to figure out the right thing vs look over the recently fired guys we have heard of.
  20. Cap friendly for 6 years is a discount in my mind, that is what I was referring to. They are really cheap in 2021/2022. The cap will go up a lot during this contract, QB's will be making much more 6 years from now. It's hard to say if year 6 or 7 will be market value or not but the one year with a big hit is 2027 which gives them a long window where the numbers are more reasonable. In 2029-2031 I bet the numbers will be team friendly but I bet there will be multiple restructures before then. I would think as time moves along, they will be able to play games with restructuring the roster bonuses.
  21. That will be the neighborhood. The question is will he take some kind of discount like Mahomes did.
