Thai team is in a dog fight for the division and conference. They will have to be scrappy and physical and win some close games to make it. The OL is not the strong part of the team but there are 5-6 capable players that probably need to stay healthy and gel more than they have so far. I am optimistic they will be in it long term.
Are you referencing the jets game? what about the OL performance against the Jets did you not like? I mean the offense was different in a good way. Josh under center, they ran effectively when they did. They used some toss plays and jet sweeps that were non existent prior to yeaterday. They played well with the caveat it was against the Jets
I liked seeing this, a couple things come to mind.
1. Being good as an NFL QB requires figuring things out presnap. When you see guys open after the play people are quick to point it out but the reality is the QB has very little time to figure it out and make the throw. The OBJ dad video was dumb for this reason. Josh helps himself a lot by knowing what will happen after the snap and using that to his advantage. Using his eyes post snap to confirm the read and make the play. I felt like Josh did that better last year than this year. It seems like defenses have kind of figured out some tendencies and Josh/the Bills need to counter.
2. Pressure....Kurt ignored the pressure in this video...there were times he was saying Allen should have done this....meanwhile he is sidestepping and otherwise avoiding a DL and not able to throw when Kurt though he should be. As we all know the OL was terrible last Sunday I'm just saying Kurt ignored that during this analysis.
3. Ball placement is important on the throws at the LOS...need to get the receiver going the right way.
4. Hearing a lot about cover 2/Tampa 2/2 deeps shell.....that seems like a general approach teams are using against explosive offenses...I am not an expert but again, sometimes this stuff is move counter move. Something has to be there when you have talent and the Bills have the talent, figure it out....
Do we know if 59 said anything that you dont see on the broadcast?
Social media will be the downfall of us, not poor officiating. Officiating has not gotten worse, rather the rise of social media and slow mo repplays available minutes after something happened is what is new. I would challenge you to show real factual evidence of "corrupt officiating" discussed on social media. What you will see is internet loudmouths speculating on conspiracy theories to explain a game (or whatever) did not go the way they think it should have.
For this week it is.... if they beat the Jets and lose the next 5 games will we say they are successful and passed their judgement test? They need to put on their big boy pants and win the division like they should.
That was bizarre. Not sure the "intent was to injure", rather keep the guy from having a chance at the ball. Injury happened, I get that....it looks bad, he will probably hear from the NFL.
So, the game was close?
Said another way, I think the Bills on paper are one of the best 5-3 teams ever. However, not being able to put teams away is a problem. Not getting it done in the 4th quarter is a problem. These guys got it done in the 4th last year.
Not sure what the advanced stats say but Dawkins has had a number of awful plays this year.
Largely the same players last year created nice pockets for Josh for much of last year.....I am somewhat optimistic they can straighten things out some.
