All-22 Grades for Bills/Saints (The Athletic)
Matt_In_NH replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's great that Brown and Feliciano will be available. But Dawkins has been really bad, hoping he shows some improvement, not much else can be done without really blowing up the line positions. -
I think the comparison to Brady is the 2001 version of Brady, not the 2021 version. As far as WR's, I cannot argue the Pats have a history of having great WR's, they don't. But they also don't need them to win ( 9 Super bowl appearances and 6 wins). Their philosophy does not require great WR's. But they typically have a bunch of check down options to RB's, TE's and a slot WR. There are many ways to build a winning team. Welker and Edelman will get HOF consideration and those guys were homegrown.

We are talking about weather.....if weather forces the gameplan to be more run heavy it takes away some of the scramble opportunities. Sure there are designed runs with Josh, personally I dont love those and those often are out of a passing formation/personnel. We don't have to agree, at the end of the day they need to be able to win in any weather.
-
What are the YPC and YPG of the RB's? We wont agree on this, IMO weather hurts the Bills more than the Pats.
-
Because they are a run first team with short passing. The Bills are pass first and if the ability to pass is affected by the weather, that favors the Patriots. Same thing in the game last year at home the Bills squeaked out, that game was VERY windy and leveled the playing field a lot.
-
Just the way the Pats want it....snow is not that big a deal assuming its not like that colts game a few years back. They should be getting used to it though, most home games have not been ideal weather this year.
-
Lines up with what we have seen. Every win has been a convincing win, no chance to flip it on one play. The losses are another story, blow out by the Colts at home. Loss tot he Jags played anywhere scoring 6 points...the week 1 loss to a bad Steelers team. It hard to believe this team has 4 losses, they are better than that. But their inconsistency is the reason. They need to get that fixed.

Bills have the highest pressure/hurry rate in the NFL??
Matt_In_NH replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
They must have the lowest sack rate when pressuring in the history of the league. We play a bunch of houdini's at QB? -
Galynn Patricia Brady

Star has missed three games already. So it’s not just the 10 day thing with him. He must either be sick or testing positive. Hopefully he can get back soon
-
He was doing fine last year til he got injured. Wonder if the knee is not getting healthy. He sat out a while and when he came back was clearly never at full strength.
-
Definitively a different side. I give a lot of credit for people who recognize they have done wrong and live every day to make it right. That’s a good man right there.
-
Wonder if his game will take a step back now that he is older.

Once again in regards to refs, there is a perception that calls are not consistently called when it comes to late hits, roughing, PI, holding, etc. I think the perception is real but these are subjective calls and I also think it is hard for refs to see everything and that is not recognized by fans....single set of eyes can't see everything at once. Especially when it comes to something subjective where a judgement needs to be made.

I do agree, I think Sammy suffers some from lack of passion for the game. Don't see that with McCaffrey.
-
Rb version of Sammy Watkins. Ok. It really McCaffery is better but still….

The Bills D got steam rolled against the Colts. To some extent the Titans game can be explained away, the stats are skewed by a 76 yard TD run that if removed he had 19 carries for 67 yards and 2 TD's. Now the long run happened, we know that but as been pointed out there was some clear holding on that play so if the zebra had thrown the hanky that game likely flips to a bills win and the running numbers don't look as bad. If they get Star back and have Edmunds we should be good against the run vs NE, its just the play action and short/intermediate passes they also need to shut down.....without Tre

What teams do you fear playing in the PLAYOFFS the most?
Matt_In_NH replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would particularly hate losing to the Pats. -
His first name describes his position. Yeah, that is my concern too, injuries for whatever reason sometimes congregate at a position.
