I worried about OL getting beat and holding, people jumping Offside or false starts, hitting late etc. Yes some calls are subjective and can go either way.....play disciplined football and that should not be the deciding factor.

December 6, 2021 Gameday Bills vs. Patriots* Pregame Thread
Matt_In_NH replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree if will "feel" like you said. But the reality is the division and the ultimate goals for this team are not lost with a loss today. That goes for the Pats also. Lets say we lose today and the Bills lose next week to TB. With 4 games to go they would be 2 games down in the AFC East. But they have a game against NE, so they would obviously have to win that......basically they would most likely win out in that scenario because the other three games are home games against weak opponents. And if the Pats lose 1 other game (Indy/at Miami, etc) the Bills could still take the division. I get the psyche of the team/fans if they lose but it would not be the end of the season even though it would feel that way. Having said all that, just win this damn game! -

For me this comes down to penalties and turnovers......limit those and the Bills will win. The fans will be nausiating if the Pats win this game......and I live in NE, will have to see it everyday, not just online. For my mental health, I need the Bills to win, they care about me right? -
Colts and titans games are what is referenced. I do agree this is overblown. The bills OL and DL are not their string points.

I find his son more annoying than him. He is there because of his dad and not because he earned it.

TO this weeks legend of the game
Matt_In_NH replied to Bills fan since 87's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am fine with it, I dont get a lot out of this stuff, some fans do that is cool. I dont consider TO a Bills legend but I also don't care, bring someone in to pump up the crowd...that is cool. -
Sounds like some serious bulletin board material here.

And it was forth and 12 inches. Dawkins got tricked into Allen fro LT. Need to execute there.
-
You make the decision with the Information you have. Not after you see the results. The bills and Allen were 13/14 on 4th and one up to that point. I’ll take those odds to win the game. Taking it to OT is 50/50. So you want 50% or a 93% chance to win? hello simple math
-
Correct. 13/14 on 4th and 1
-
Really? Because going for it is the right call. Simple math shows that.

What the Bills need to do to beat the Pats...IMO
Matt_In_NH replied to wagne591's topic in The Stadium Wall
For me, this is what the game comes down to. If Josh can not force throws when things are not going well, the Bills should have a great chance to win. Dont give them turnovers, that is exactly what they will be going for. There may be a stretch in the game where you have to punt, that is ok, take the FG instead of the sack. Dont force the ball and dont hold the ball too long...that plays right into what the Patriots will be trying to do. -
TO this weeks legend of the game
Matt_In_NH replied to Bills fan since 87's topic in The Stadium Wall
These big games should be guys from the 90's teams IMO. Even a guy like Phil Hansen. I would argue we dont need a legend at every game if we are bringing back one year players. -
How many cheaters will attend the game live in OUR HOUSE ‘?
Matt_In_NH replied to Italian Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Based on how cheap the tickets are, could be a lot....I could see people making a last minute decision to make the drive, grab a hotel room and get lower bowl seats for less than $200 -
All-22 Grades for Bills/Saints (The Athletic)
Matt_In_NH replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's great that Brown and Feliciano will be available. But Dawkins has been really bad, hoping he shows some improvement, not much else can be done without really blowing up the line positions. -
I think the comparison to Brady is the 2001 version of Brady, not the 2021 version. As far as WR's, I cannot argue the Pats have a history of having great WR's, they don't. But they also don't need them to win ( 9 Super bowl appearances and 6 wins). Their philosophy does not require great WR's. But they typically have a bunch of check down options to RB's, TE's and a slot WR. There are many ways to build a winning team. Welker and Edelman will get HOF consideration and those guys were homegrown.
