    Maybe. I think it was a decision they made based on cost benefit analysis. Yes he is so good. Machines is an ideal QB for a guy like Hill. People say the cap is not real it is and that is what happened here. This gives them flexibility moving forward and a chance to make a longer run with Mahoney. They sold high.

    This is a great deal for the Chiefs long term. It does reduce their talent today. It helps reset their cap situation. Both taking a high paid guy off the books and adding draft capital where if they hit they get good talent at a cheap price. The bills could be in a similar position in a year or two.

    LOL both teams in the division.......not overly concerned though. Until the QB's show they can perform at a higher level, Hill will do ok but not the same numbers he puts up in KC.

    Find a cheap vet (no need to panic or rush) and draft a guy. And find some others to compete and develop. Wallace was an undrafted guy who played a lot as a rookie, it can happen.

    He could agree to a reduced salary for a number of reasons I guess, but I guess given what Tyrod Taylor and others get, a guy with his experience and production is worthy of more than 3.5M. At least that is what I would have thought. I was wrong one time before though so anything is possible In any event, I think this is great for our Bills.

    So his 6.1M cap hit is now 3.5M. Was this just a salary reduction or did the Brown pay some? I am curious why Keenum would agree to that since he seems like someone people view as a quality backup.
