Based on what he is getting this year, I think this would be a pay cut.

Understand the rotation completely. There was a lot of optimism on Epenesa last offseason/preseason. He was amazing in the Miami game and then largely was not that noticeable. His production last year did not match the expectation given the amount his tires were getting pumped up in the local media.

Haack is the other option. The reps for kicking interfere with where other players need to be at practice. The CBA limits practice time, this is why 32 out of 32 teams use their punter as the holder. Just because BOJO sucked at it, does not mean everyone will.

51 starters? there are 53 roster spots and 22 starters. Maybe 24 if you consider different personnel groups. spencer Brown. Greg Rousseau Emmanuel sanders. Mitch Trubisky. Matt Haack. And others were new to the roster. you are assuming the 13 seconds led to Von Miller and other things this off season. Agree the off seasons are different. Last years was an anomaly.

Sure. I don’t think I said it didn’t. Not sure why you think I’m not. One can be pissed about the 13 seconds and enjoy this team. They are not mutually exclusive.

He played 44% of snaps last year and had 7 sacks.....that is decent production.

If they held on for 13 seconds, we would have saw the best airport support display in the history of sports and had a home game in the AFC Championship, I cannot find a silver lining in that based on this years draft, dont see the connection at all.

I think crowder or McKenzie could possibly be gone. Especially if they get another outside receiver. Duke Johnson has an uphill battle.

I dont agree with this, small schools know the 40 yard time is important. The guy has an agent and coaches who know about the NFL. I would bet he was coached up a lot heading into that pro day for his 40 yard dash.......

32 out of 32 teams use the punter as the holder. So it is not Beane and McD. My understanding is yhey do this partly because of the CBA limiting practice time. Taking a backup QB to hold takes him away from his primary job and there are not that many hours you are allowed to practice.

It sounds like Araiza punts it shorter but longer, wonder what his numbers will look like when he ups the hang time.

It would be good if we can compare the grades at the time of the draft vs the grades 5 years later based on how the players performed. I wonder if there is any correlation between the two when you look over the years.
