NFL Week #12 - Bills at the Lions - 1st half game thread

Flea flickers never work -
Is it on in Cutter?

Whenever I hear about personnel groupings I cant help but want more information. What I mean is you will hear a team is in 12 personnel x% of the time. That tells you 1 RB, 2 TE's and 2 WR's....all it tells you is the position of the players on the field. What it does not tell you is the lineup. You could be in 12 and have a spread formation. With position flexibility nowadays I think it would be good to provide groupings and formation. If you have Kelce and are in 12 and he is always split out wide, effectively this is more like 13 because Kelce is such a great receiver.

There was a hold in the TItans game I think. My point is we can find a play for anyone where they were not in the best position or took a bad angle but we should judge more on the totality of the work, not one play.

THey specialize in ankles

I wonder if could find instances of bad angles by Poyer and Hyde with all the long run TD's from last season? No one is perfect, he has been good and brings some passion to the defense.

McKenzie's Place in the Offense Going Forward
Matt_In_NH replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
They have 4 active WR's. -
As much as this seems like an issue. The Bills are first in the league in 3rd down conversion percentage The Bills are passing for 32 more yards this year vs last and the same rate of TD passes. Completion percentage is up a bit The Bills are first or second in yards per game and scoring points The only problem I see is turnovers.
-
Interesting you cherry pick yards and TD's. He is 82nd in catches and right about dead last in drop percentage. We don't need to hate Davis but we can recognize we would like him to hold onto a few more balls without being a Bills hater cant we?

It makes no sense to stay. It’s like an hour flight. Do you stay in your office all week? There is comfort and routine in being home. There is a facility to practice at and training staff with high tech equipment. Staying would have been terrible. So they signed OBJ? Google thinks the earth is flat. It’s only 50 minutes since the earth is round

2021 the Bills averaged 262 pass yards per game and 2.1 TD passes per game 2022 The Bills average 294 pass yards per game and 2.1 TD passes per game. 32 yards per game more than last year. Where is the big drop off?

Tre'Davious White - when will he be ready?

Really, should they forfeit? -
Tre'Davious White - when will he be ready?
Matt_In_NH replied to Deadstroke's topic in The Stadium Wall
Speculation is this is mental somehow with Tre and there is becoming a fair amount of smoke to back that up. Is there another option though, maybe he has not performed well in practice and is not ready? -
This does seem to be an ever increasing obvious deficiency

NFL Week # 11 - Browns at Bills (Detroit) - Post game thread

Agree with a lot of this. No turnovers is the key, I really think that is their point of emphasis right now. In terms of just taking FG's, we all need to throw "traditional wisdom" out the window. There is and will continue to be a lot more going for it and those decisions are backed up by data. It is easy to point tot he time you don't get it but that is missing the point. Those decisions are based on probabilities over the long term and not an individual outcome. -
Like the Jets game?

Week 12: Bills at Lions on Thanksgiving
Matt_In_NH replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Three game win streak for the lions. And they have had some magnificent losses. They are better than their record then again so are the bills. They can score points sometimes. Hopefully the offense can keep the foot on the gas and and make this an i stressful thanksgiving. -
JESTS Radio and message boards having a melt down
Matt_In_NH replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
They struggled to get a first down all day and they have a winning record. The frustration is understandable. They will probably do with white or Flacco at some point again. -
Maybe Tre will be “ready” soon

NFL Week # 11 - Browns at Bills (Detroit) - Post game thread
Matt_In_NH replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cannot agree. The bills set some kind of record for consecutive double digit wins earlier this season. That did happen today but they clearly reset things on offense some to get back to the basics and focus on not turning it over. Brissett is that annoying fly you can’t get with the swatted. Not really a threat but just keeps staying alive.
