Would Cole Beasley come back to Buffalo?
Matt_In_NH replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
It was not his stance it was being outspoken about it. Josh never got vaccinated and he feels the same way as Beasley pretty much. -
The "ball did not survive the ground" rule
Matt_In_NH replied to Repulsif's topic in The Stadium Wall
You want the pre 2018 rule back? You are in rare company on that. -
Does this Pats fan make sense? 🤔 I HATE to admit I agree with him.
Matt_In_NH replied to StHustle's topic in The Stadium Wall
I do think the WGR crowd goes overboard on NE but how does that matter for the football team. Punch up/Punch down....what does media have to do with on the field anything? Why isn't Baltimore not talking about NE he asks? Cause they are not in the division and the Patriots did not dominate them like the Patriots have done the Bills....duh!! This is nonsense, the Bills are nationally relevant, the KC game last year showed that.....everyone wants to see Allen play Mahomes...its already a thing. The Bills actually do focus on beating KC, a LOT! This guy is a clown. Messing around with a division rival is fine. Tom Brady left and the Pats have gone down hill...that is a fact! Mac Jones had a better rookie year than Josh Allen...ok how is that relevent to anything? What a clown. What now we expect the same progression out of Mac as Allen has had and he will be even better than Allen? LOL you have nothing to be afraid of....I live in NE and wear Bills gear proudly for the last 25 years. The most you will get is an occasional Go Bills from another Bills fan. After that, sometimes people will engage you in reasonable conversation. Even at games in Foxboro its not bad...sure you can find an occasional drunk idiot. Most people are cool -

I was in a Backers bar with Bills, Giants, Eagles and Washington fans when Brady tore h is ACL...the camera panned to him clutching his knee, the place went bonkers as if the USA had won the world cup. I sat there in disbelief. -
The "ball did not survive the ground" rule
Matt_In_NH replied to Repulsif's topic in The Stadium Wall
When I saw the replay I immediately knew it was coming back....the rule is clear about this and he lost control after he hit the ground....the ball does not have to hit the ground Now if the same catch happens in the field of play it would be a catch because the ball does not touch the ground. The catches going out of bounds are always scary because of the survive the ground aspect. We can argue to change the rule but the they got the call right per the rules today. I will also say we talk about catches a LOT less frequently than we used to, they changed it up a few years ago and it is much better now. But there is some room for interpretation/subjectiveness and it is probably impossible to get rid of that completely. Even in the field of play (not out of bounds) this is not good enough, you also have to have a football move or some element of time. -
Like the potential Poyer INT, this is a case of not understanding the rules. I can get an argument to change a rule but the rules are what they are.

I live in New Hampshire...half the kids have the name "Brady"...some of them are starting to get through college and I will be forced to work with one of these kids. I hate the thought, eventually there will be a bunch of Brady's in some meeting instead of Christopher's or Michael's. time to move! I read the patsfans forum and I do not see this. I also live in NE and never see this....they talk about how he "is going to get hurt" playing like he does but that is not rooting for it. -
Under McBeane, the Bills are a player friendly franchise
Matt_In_NH replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
This stuff is way overblown IMO. If a Bills player is evaluated for a concussion and cleared they come back in if needed. Most players will try to work the system to get back out there....lots of former players talk about how easy it is to game the protocol. Wait until a QB gets their bell rung in the playoffs.....that will be bad for the product if Mahomes or any other QB has to come out in the first quarter for a concussion. The system is still workable by the players if they want to get around it and they will still be doing it. Its a little harder now with the updates but it still happens. -

That was a really annoying few weeks after that game living in New England. First BB and his son hug like they won the SB in a game that was basically a coin flip...Kraft is in the locker room congratulating them. Then the entire fan base thinks///believes its over, the Patriots are back and Mac Jones is 'the next Brady" that BB is sprinkling his pixy dust over. There was talk on the local Boston radio about how they would rather have Mac Jones than Allen...serious talk. You know because the magic pixy dust thing. If the Bills had won that game there would be a 6 game winning streak instead its 5 of 6. In some ways I like how it worked out that they thought they were back on top and it was just that easy with their genius coach....only to get smoked with a perfect game in the playoffs. It is amazing clowns with completely nonsensical takes have jobs....they have no idea what they actually witnessed that night....total amateurs -
I have an inside source that I have on good authority, it's already done, just not announced yet.

I truly believe Allen can be an effecting and great QB without running as much. I think Newton had to do it to be effective. I also think their mental/psychological makeup are completely different in Allen's favor.

I live in NE and this is all I hear about him. I have to say, I do have some concerns about that if I'm being honest. I think sliding a little more often depending on down/distance/situation is a good idea.

Top 10 TE in the NFL this season (yards)
Matt_In_NH replied to ArdmoreRyno's topic in The Stadium Wall
Knox is not too far as last years clip in terms of catches and yards. Last year he had 49 for 587, he is on pace for 47 and 463. The big drop off is one yard TD passes. IMO the reaction to the TD's was a little over the top. The reaction to "leading the leaque in TD's" was overblown. It was a very low year for TE TD catches where 9 was the highest. Kelce has that beat this year already. He is a decent TE, I'm glad he is still here, sure I would like to see an uptick in production but he is not that different than he was, the close to the end zone targets have just not been there. -
Major difference between yesterday and previous four games
Matt_In_NH replied to Italian Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Josh actually does this more in prime time and when the stakes are high in general. Its a great trait to have! -
Is McDermott the Only Coach to Beat Belichick Three Straight Games?
Matt_In_NH replied to K-9's topic in The Stadium Wall
5 of the last 6 with the one being an act of God that made the game a coin flip. -
The Patriots are at the very top of the league ni pressure. Wise, Judon, number 55 can all bring it. Quess was the majority of the problem, he is not good in pass pro but was also injured. Just win the game, they did, great move on....Dawkins should be back. To me idea that Quessenbury on one leg is better than Hart or Murray is scary. Doyle tore his ACL so we lost some tackle depth in week 3. It's a game of attrition and sometimes you have to figure it out with liabilities and they did. Great game plan, great execution by Josh and the others to move the ball.

I’m kind of Over the Hines Experiment
Matt_In_NH replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall
What experiment? He is a big upgrade in he return game and if needed can probably do some thing in offense. His presence is felt and he has been great. People had unrealistic expectations is the only issue I see.- 275 replies
