The nfl is going to come down hard for this infraction.

Bulldog on WGR last night was talking about moving this weeks game vs the Pats out. I don't think that is anything being discussed and I hope it is not, I took this is a wild thought by him. Somehow he thought playing it Monday was better for some reason...maybe just another day of the players getting themselves ready. I really think they need to play because that is what Damar would want, not that I know him but I am pretty sure that would be a universal thing. Also, while I understand it is hard not knowing the outcome (I have lived this personally so I really understand) at some point you have to continue with life and it may be hard or seem weird, it needs to happen. There is nothing any of the other players or coaches can do, Damar is where he needs to be getting the care he needs from the professionals and with his family.

Sean McDermott should be Coach of the Year
Matt_In_NH replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall
Pretty cool for a gym teacher to completely turn an organization around, have it's highest winning percentage in the teams history, go from perennial door mats to perennial contenders, winning three straight division titles. It's amazing he did that while not understanding X's and O's, in game management or how to build a roster. He demonstrated no leadership until Monday night. The idea he went from gym teacher to embodiment of a leader in a moment is ludicrous. Your criticism of him is unwarranted. I do understand as fans we can question things but to call him a gym coach is nonsense. If you experienced the drought and now what we have today and cannot be happy to be on this ride then you will never be happy.....and I get it they need to bring a Lombardi home....this team can do that. -
Dont you have some balls to deflate?

Suspension? No, if you watched the same video I did you woudl see Hendrickson rolls into his leg, it looks intentional and you can tell 100% he made contact because Allen jerked his leg back and grabbed at his ankle. If you saw that same video and are concluding he did not touch him, then I dont know what to say other than you must be a blind pats homer.

No Hendrickson.
-
He injured Allen on the play. Yes he touched him.

I agree...the Bengals offense was hyped

It would be called finishing the block.

Do you think Hurst's hurdle was dirty in some way?

While this is a unique situation all over the news and whatnot. It would be an exception for a hospital to talk about the situation publicly and they would need permission to do so. There are laws about this stuff. Also, from having been through dire situations with loved ones I can tell you sometimes you just have to wait. People assume no news is bad news but its not. If the DR's knew there was dramatic negative things going on they would tell his family, we dont know what they have said other than from interviews from his uncle and whatnot, it all sounds to me like this is wait and see. There are risks but there is probably also reason to be optimistic.

We must have watched a different play

https://operations.nfl.com/the-rules/nfl-video-rulebook/illegal-block-above-the-waist/ ILLEGAL BLOCK ABOVE THE WAIST Blocks an opponent (from behind) in the back above the opponent’s waist, or uses his hands or arms to push an opponent from behind in a manner that affects his movement, except in close-line play. Note: The prohibition applies to a player of the kicking team while the ball is in flight during a scrimmage kick. The use of hands on the back is not a foul when: a player is making a personal attempt to recover a loose ball the opponent turns away from the blocker when contact is imminent both of the blocker’s hands are on the opponent’s side. (If either hand is on the back, it is a foul.)

I think Hendrickson clearly barreled rolled into Josh on purpose and that should be addressed. Not sure so much about the Taron Johnson play, he turned into Hurst and got turned around after the initial collision. Not sure you cannot continue the block there. I don't think it should be a penalty if you go to block someone and they turn their back

What Bengals & Chiefs fans are saying about the situation:

The bengals did nothing wrong…..it was all the evil Bills fault? People are so biased and they don’t have a clue. -
Chris Simms says whoever Tre is covering will be open

The bengals targeted Tre big time in the limited plays yesterday and they were successful. I am concerned. -
Playoff Solutions Assuming they don’t replay the Bengals game.

Tie's impact winning percentage and those are used. I think winning percentage is what they actually go by....it is listed after wins/losses/ties on the nfl standings page. -

Why do we think the NFL does not use winning percentage? -

So the bills and bengals will play Sunday and Monday? No way that happens.
