Yes …I saw a D that limited the opponent to 2.3 yards per play, 190 passing, 40 yards rushing, chased ST all day sacking him 4 times, picking him off….Yes…you blitz to get pressure….Bills have a D scheme that does that in specific situations and it has worked successfully for years…but pretty sure your smell test is the way to go What did you see this week?

I don't think the Bills strength is tough smash mouth in the trenches. But finding a handful of games over three years does not prove they cannot do it. Teams have good games/bad games. I bet I can find a game where the Bills dominated Tennessee or when the beat that Colts team in the playoffs. Maybe I am wrong but I see the schemes yesterday as the problem. Sitting in zone when you cannot cut for two drives on defense.....runnign the ball wide with Cook when you cannot put your foot in the ground at full speed (Cook second drive). Pretty much all passes looking for longer passes. Not running it straight ahead more. I really thought the gameplans were FUBAR.

I know people scream about screen passes and I agree we need them. The problem is Josh is not good at throwing them. Ball placement and pace are critical on screens. If you throw it right at the guy and he has to stop/catch then start again it can blow it up just with a pass that was complete but not well thrown.

Don't disagree with you but this team does not have a history of getting bent over in the playoffs. They are 4-4 and have had 2 OT losses, one loss against a superior KC team and the loss yesterday stands out as unique. I do agree they were out "physicalled" but I really think it had some to do with the gameplans. The weather dictated a certain style and the Bills pretended like there was no weather.

Diggs trade….not saying one way or the other right now but I took a look and I thought a post June 1 trade leaves a 11.8M dead cap. Not sure I am I interpreting spot rack correctly. Mcdermotts only draft 2017 was pretty good. Tre white Matt Milano Dion Dawkins have all been all pro or pro bowl. Every player is still in the league.

My opinion. They did not game plan for the weather conditions yesterday. They come out playing all zone and watch them get to a 14 point lead before adjusting. They should have known they had to play more man. I understand they are not built for man like they are for zone but they could have put up a better plan. on offense they were handing it to cook on a wide sweep when he had no ability to put his foot in the ground d and cut. They simply did not plan for the conditions. Or really defending him just being pragmatic

That same year they drafted Edmunds and Allen who have made the pro bowl. Saying teller is the most recent is like a twin arguing he is older than his brother by one minute. they have players but no superstars since. But it is also true the bills have the highest percentage of draft picks on the team in recent years.

It was win win. But in hindsight Jefferson is more special than Diggs. A t the time of the trade all that pick represented was potential. The Vikings cleared some cap space for potential, a talented player on a cost controlled deal. The pick turned out to be a home run.

At this point there is only one thing for this team to do or else it is a disappointment. They have to perform in the playoffs. They cleared the division by 4 games this year for whatever that is worth. even though I am a defender of this staff I do think they lost today and last year in KC on coaching. Totally different situations. Last year they had a decent game plan but screwed the team with 13 seconds. This year the game plans were FUBAR today

ok, but I remember constant issues with "play calling" and "scheme" when he was here. What specifically did the team accomplish with Dabol they did not this year?

All they had to do was run it with Singletary with quick hitters more often and throw shorter methodical passes in this weather. Look at the percentage of yards Mahomes, Hurts and others have in their offenses. I don't agree this is a problem but I understand everyone is upset about the loss.
