I will not be holding my breath.

Yes you are being sensitive. He is a good player but likely would have had little impact in that game

I thnk that leaves 1.5M for the Patriots to pay.....that is worth it for the success he had there.

Josh Named AFC Offensive Player of the Week 2 and Week 4
Matt_In_NH replied to bills742's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't agree with this. Marino was more talented than Brady but Brady was more willing to do whatever was better for winning which included running the ball down teams throats for many games if that is what that game called for. Marino wanted to call the plays....he would audible all the time out of runs into passes because he liked to pass, he was very cocky that way and it hurt his team. I remember an interview where he was being asked about it and he said something to the affect of "once we are up a few scores, we can run the ball" -
A few points about this. 1. The Bills are committed to running with RB's more this year, that helps keep the DL at bay. 2. Josh is helping by getting it out faster, 2.5s last year, 2.3s this year. 3. Obviously the G position (both of them) have been upgraded.

Yeah there was one year that was an anomaly...there was never anything there. -

Like DVOA shows, this is one of the best teams ever assembled....there is only one thing left to do There have been bad losses, just not losses with big point differentials. -

I know the Bills are traveling Thursday which is what most teams do and they will try to adjust to the time difference. When I travel for work, I try and stay on East coast time which is what many teams do when they travel coast to coast within the states, I am curious why they dont try to do that for ondon. THe game is at 9:30Am EST which is not an unreasonable time to play a game for someone who lives on the east coast, sure you have to get up a little early that day....it is not uncommon to have practice that early during TC...... Here is what I would consider. Travel Saturday early...say leave at 8AM-ish EST and arrive in London at around 2-3PM EST....get to the hotel, get a walkthrough in , go to bed close to your normal EST which will be very early for London, close the blinds in the hotel and just pretend you are at home. Wake up, do the game, get to the airport and go home....no special play in London (do that on your own time in the offseason).....just treat it like any other away game.

Allen's completion percentage - Him, or Dorsey or the weapons
Matt_In_NH replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Defenses play the qbs like Allen with a 2 high shell. The counter to that is short passes which are easier to complete. This year Allen is taking the short throws. His air yards are down and yac is up. It’s all related. -
Bills now the best 3-1 team ever according to DVOA

Bills now the best 3-1 team ever according to DVOA

All the fancy stats say this team should have a Super Bowl yet all we have is one AFCC game -
Sounds like multiple weeks, nothing specific I have heard yet. Agree, those are big losses for them.

I need another day to revel in that game and the Patriots smack down...I live in NE. I need more than one day to move on.

I really think its just a numbers thing and is more a reflection of how deep the Bills are at corner. White, Benford, Jackson are better for this defense, he is on the team and will now get a jersey. The only issue I have seen is that he is a little too physical and draws too many penalties. Or at least the staff fears that.

Hypothetically… Brian Daboll gets the boot….
Matt_In_NH replied to The 9 Isles's topic in The Stadium Wall
16, 6, 15, 10 are scores the Bills had in Dabol's last year.....all anyone remembers is 13 the seconds game. There were constant threads about "fire Dabol" before 13 seconds...just like all the talk on Dorsey. Their output is actually similar from the 40000 foot view. Personally, I see an offense that is evolving into something better it has ever been the last three weeks. I think if Dorsey gets a HC job and Dabol is looking for work you consider it but only in that scenario. -

Passer rating is a flawed stat for many reasons. It does not consider many important aspects of playing QB and gives full credit once you achieve a certain level. I view it as one thing to look at just like looking at TD/INT ratio. The intent of passer rating was to take all passing stats into account and while it is interesting, it just fails to do that all that well. The ESPN QBR thing is also flawed. The NFL should adopt something new.

His physicality was great on a few runs...he wont have great games every week, he is fine.

Frazier and/or his System hurt player development
Matt_In_NH replied to gonzo1105's topic in The Stadium Wall
I will reserve judgement for the playoffs....Frazier's defense had plenty of outstanding regular season outings.
