The point about turnover worthy plays is not be be obsessed, you do it because one game is a small sample size and sometimes you get a better view on performance than looking deeper than just the stats. You play the game again, you likely have turnovers.

The Chiefs were geared up for it, they stopped it or greatly limited progress every time. The decision to take the XP off the board and take the 2 point try was aggressive but probably the right move analytically. However, QB sneak is your best play there? You have to get an entire yard....Did not like it in the moment. Then in the second half up by one with the ball, they ran it I think 4 times out of like 8 plays, none of them were particularly successful yet they just kept at it. After the third down, I was like roll him out and give him options, nope lets do it again. Josh new they were stopping them so he did the leap over the pile move at midfield which was a bad move, you are fumbling there, he did, they got it back but that should have been enough for Brady and McDermott to step in and put an end to it. Nope lets do it again....this time its super close and we blame the refs....I think he got it but the call to do it again was way worse than anything the refs did there. That play turned the game. That was a turnover that KC needed.

Upon reflection, it is true Josh did not play his best. He was super jittery on the first drive and he had the orbit motion on 4th down, it was there. He was hitting that in the regular season but the best way to beat any QB is to speed up their decision making process. As soon as he looked away from Shakir, it was over. Even then he made an incredible effort to get the ball to somewhere someone could catch it. And it should have been an easy catch albeit non standard. The OL was not great, Kincaid was not great. Elam was not great. Yes Josh could have been better but we can say that about many other players also. You don't see the poor play in Josh's numbers but he had three fumbles, two interceptable passes and he was not figuring it out presnap like he has the rest of the year. His decision to extend the ball over the line on the first 4th down was poor, that was almost guaranteed to be a fumble, it was, luckily they got it back only to fail on a QB sneak 4 plays later.

If Allen asks for a new staff he should get it.

I would love to an actual unbiased breakdown of all picks/FA's from Bills, Chiefs, Steelers and whatever other teams have had the same regime over the last 7 years. People love to do their cherry picking. Not saying anything is or is not true but I have never seen a good breakdown of GM's over time. After a loss fans get negative and find problems in everything. -
In some ways, this is worse than the drought in my opinion

This is the only way I see that happening. -
Calm down dude. I can be unhappy and your comparison can be wrong at the same time.

He has two more playoff wins than rivers.

Good thing this is not happening. Here we go with the magical never happens except to the bills stats.

McCarthy blows. That would be a downgrade.
-
Right but that is not on Josh.
-
you think the lack of QB sneak success is a measure of Josh not playing well?

Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes is this generations Jordan/Bulls.....it is undeniable now.

Hard to beat the Chiefs and the refs every post-season

The former -
So it was a bad play design or bad execution? Getting mixed messages here. It was not his best for sure but that is also a tough place to play against a great defense with a DC who throws a lot at you. He was bad on the first drive, the dive over the top for the QB sneak was pretty much guaranteed to be a fumble, bad play there by Josh.....He also did not hurt them too bad, he played well enough to win. Here is the thing with Josh, when he gets in a check mate situation he will do wild things.....they needed to stop the sneaks but they just kept doing them it was dumb.
-
The Bills think so too, Knox has been out snapping him quietly......hopefully year three is better for him

I believe the Bills hurried to the line there......... -
spotrac and overthecap can be looked at.

I mean it was a hard play to change....it was going to stay as called on the field. The ball hit the ground clearly but that does not make it incomplete.

I thought they had it on third too......this sequence was huge. Still the wrong playcall on 4th.....I fell strongly about that, it was close and you let the zebras decide. They shoudl have had a different play with the way the QB sneaks were going. -

They were not as bad as last year I dont know about held their own.....the Chiefs never scored mroe than 30 all year. Today they did....and they let them run it out at the end -

Blaming the refs just makes you look like a total B word -
At what point do we start blaming Beane ?
Matt_In_NH replied to TrentEdwardsCheckDownOn4th's topic in The Stadium Wall
You seem like you just have to find a boogyman to blame. Elam is a dud, it is still too early on the others. Two years ago it was day two picks people complained about then a bunch of them developed.
