Might need a new punter
-
Can’t execute a simple handoff. He is messed up in the head.
-
Josh is broken
-
The interceptions are completely out of hand.
-
Good thing the bills get the ball out of the half right?
-
Again?

Just like Davis his hands are late getting up. This won’t be popular but you can tthrow the ball too fast on a lot of throws.
-
That should be intentional grounding.

I'll take Jonathan Jones for sure

The Rise of the Two High Shell & Its Impact on the Bills

I agree this 5 game stretch is different in that it is the longest stretch the offense has struggled at times. I also think this group can turn it around, we will see if they do.... -
The Rise of the Two High Shell & Its Impact on the Bills
Matt_In_NH replied to BarleyNY's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree the two high shell is how teams have attacked QB's like Allen. I remember specifically after the Bills lost to the Jags 9-6 Allen being asked "what were they doing". His response was something like, same as all teams, two high shell. What happened after that? Josh Allen started running, look at his attempts and yards by week in 2021 after the Jags game...that is how they started beating teams, running it. So back to the OP, he is correct you need to run the ball effectively enough. The Bills need to be consistent and effective with running and shorter passes to get teams out of this. And back to Dorsey vs Dabol....in 2021 (Dabol's last year) the Bills had scores of 6, 10, 15 and 16 that season....that s 25% of games they scored 16 or less. Everyone wanted Dabol fired. What changed was the late season run and two great offensive performances in the playoffs and now most people forget what happened under Dabol. -
Its like ugly sweaters but just Bills stuff

Ben Solak (The Ringer) Analysis of Josh's Decisions this Year
Matt_In_NH replied to JohnRVA's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am no NFL coach (obvisouly) but I am sure this is part of the solution. The NFL game is not just go out and do what you do best all the time, its a chess match where you have to figure out what the defense is trying to do and counter that while also doing what you do best. Eventually your plays will be there. Everyone thinks this stuff is black and white...its all conservative or all high risk Josh....there is a middle ground that is actually what they need to find and what I believe they are searching for but so far it has not happened. I believe Josh can have more yards and more TD's and less turnovers that he has typically if they figure out the right formula. Right now, I think you have to look at Dorsey for the answers. -
ok, I agree to an extent. They will have to make some additional moves to sign a guy like Harty or Connor McDermott... I actually think at most you will get one guy with a decent AAV and we will likely see 2-4 comp picks for next year as a result. The draft is going to become super important.

I find the lack of offensive production baffling. People are hyper focused on Dorsey and Davis. I don't think the #2 receiver is a logical explanation. Sure Tee Higgins is an upgrade but I dont think they would change much with him over Davis. There is plenty of success throwing to Kincaid and Shakir and Diggs. Its not like there is no one to throw to. One factor is how defenses are playing guys like Allen and Mahomes (also not having his typical year by the way). The offenses have to find ways to counter what the defense is doing....that is on Dorsey. However the one place people put their blinders on with is the play of Josh Allen....it's like he can do no wrong, when its not working it has to be everyone else's fault. Yet he is the single most critical person who determines the success of the offense. Joe Marino has shown clearly how he turns down easy throws at times. Josh is throwing easier passes, completing a higher percentage of passes and actually throwing the ball away more than he has in the past yet his interception rate is the highest it has been since his rookie year. That is one thing I thought would come down as he throws for less air yards and takes throw aways.

Agreed, people are very focused on the 24 points. This defense has one turnover in the last 5 games. They cannot get off the field. The offense also disappeared. So the problems are on both sides of the ball. The only thing we can say is on defense, there is sort of an explanation...injuries. Still, the pass rush has disappeared and there is a lot of bad tackling.
