There is no end the the obsession with "#1 WR's". I would say Brady did a fantastic job all year of scheming for EPA and it resulted in the best overall point production in team history. It continued in the playoffs vs very good defenses. Go back to your #1 WR thing.......

Hard to beat the Chiefs and the refs every post-season

Hahaha. And give up the revenues first that week? Yeah that’s a great idea -
Wide Receiver Train Full Speed Ahead- CHOO CHOO!
Matt_In_NH replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
Is it? They broke the team record for points last year. They scored in the playoffs. The wr will help with them sneaks or the 4th down no blitz pickup. Teams with the best wrs did not even make the playoffs. Get your head out of the sand. N -
Not using James Cook on final drive a head scratcher

Why didn't the thread just end after this? -
Wide Receiver Train Full Speed Ahead- CHOO CHOO!
Matt_In_NH replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
I didn't know the WGR morning show has the name of Pete on this board. The hyper focus on WR is ridiculous and while more WR talent would be better, there is not much evidence that it will make the difference. There are several positions that shoudl be focused on, why is there never a DT train!!!!!??????? -
Why no tush push on the Allen QB sneaks?
Matt_In_NH replied to RoscoeParrish's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am not a fan of the WGR crew in general but anyone who is on the radio has to say stuff....and it is inevitable some of it comes out to not be a good take. But it was something like 21 of 22 during the regular season. The Chiefs had not stopped a sneak since like 2018. You find it unreasonable because you live in hindsight. -
Why no tush push on the Allen QB sneaks?
Matt_In_NH replied to RoscoeParrish's topic in The Stadium Wall
It was reasonable to dismiss it....we did not need a caller to tell you he likes to go to his left, there was no secret we all watched it all year....the point is it was always successful. However in this game, it was clear they geared up for it and they should have went to something else. -
Couple things, not sure if spotrac has this updated yet but he hit unlikely to be earned incentives, that gets added to his next years dead cap. I think they made do the post June 1 thing with him.

That happened at the combine.

Nickelback coach Scott Booker off to New England

He is no rockstar -
Saying Josh Allen choked is kind of ridiculous. However any criticism of Josh Allen results in pitch forks back at whoever said such a thing....the masses will breakdown the decision or play and try to mansplain why it was the perfect action or decision and others are always to blame. He had turnover worthy moments that did not result in turnovers.. Patrick Mahomes also had turnover worthy moments, one of which resulted in a actual turnover. My point is Josh Allen is great, we should all be happy but it is also ok to say this play was not his best for the following reason. The game was close, it came down to a couple crucial plays/calls by the refs. The way this works nationally though is what it is, it is Josh Allen losing to Patrick Mahomes....just like it was Manning beating Brady in 3 of their 5 playoff matchups. Mahomes is 4-0 vs Allen. The last two Josh got the ball with 3+ minutes left and timeouts down by 3, both efforts resulted in 0 points....it sucks. There are reasons beyond Allen and Mahomes that made it that way but that will not be what gets discussed.

Lets work on another play maybe........it was embarrassing to watch them run it unsuccessfully over and over and I dont think this would have made a difference.

Maybe then they can break the team record for points per game they set last year. -
Can you quote where I said the defense played well? I actually just made a joke/sarcastic post becuase you meant to say the Chiefs never score "more than 30 points" but go on with your narrative making........
-
Do you mean twice?
-
He will quit before the season starts
-
And getting the ball with 3 minutes left down 3, failing to convert....Baldy broke it down, failure to recognize what was happening presnap, not that it was easy but it was there to be figured out. At the end of the day it was a well played game by both teams and the Chiefs made one more play. The third down on that drive...the bubble to Cooper could have been a big gainer if he can shake out of that tackle. So many little things

Even though I said what I said, I dont believe the premise of this thread that "Josh choked". But he did not have his best game. Mahomes had turnover worthy plays also.
-
Which is totally realistic. I mean even though they broke the team record for points and points per game this year they were only second in the NFL in points scored. It is a major problem
-
After watch Baldinger's breakddown I agree with you. When I saw in real time I thought he had it. The real issue here is not figuring out what was coming pressnap.

The stubbornness to continually run the QB sneak....

the 2 point conversion was a QB call?
