  1. the chance of running into players clearly is easier in WNY vicinity unfortunately I've not been a local since 1978. But Andre Reed is a known san diego local and has been known to hang at the billsbacker bar in pacific beach on occasion. The word I got was he was flocked with beautiful socal hotties and Loving the attention LOL

  2. I just had a really cool interaction with an ex Bill from the glory teams Clifford Hicks. Dude used to wear a Dr Seuss hat on the sidelines which was always memorable for me.

I asked he if he still had the hat and he said "yes its in storage" And since I had mentioned I was from Batavia it ends up he works currently with a guy I went to high school with.

    Small world:-)

It made me think there have got to be a lot of you whom have met or interacted with Bills players. I know I'd love to read about them.

    Made my day!

Good start here. It's top 51 through training camp right up until the final Tuesday before the regular season starts. During that time there is no practice squad. All players count towards the 90 player limit.

There are limits to how long players can be on the practice squad, but it's generally a couple years so it's not like a few weeks decision thing for the most part. And last year (and still possibly this year) the PS rules have been expanded to allow more flexibility through the COVID times. At the end of the year PS contracts expire and teams resign their players to regular NFL, usually minimum contracts through training camp. This is why if you look at a salary cap page right now guys like Christian Wade (aren't we about due for a new CW thread? LOL) are technically under NFL contract for the minimum $660,000.

Correct, a player must be waived and pass through waivers unclaimed before he can be signed to a practice squad. That's why practice squads aren't established until after the 53 cutdown date. There is a minimum salary for practice squad players, and most players are signed to it. And, with a few limitations, PS players can sign to another team's regular roster (if doing so the new team must keep them on the regular 53 for a 3 week minimum). The PS player's team can't stop the player from signing to a new team's 53, but they are allowed to offer the player the same deal (or better) and sign them to their own 53 if the player wishes (same 3 week minimum applies normally, relaxed last year for COVID reasons). For this reason, PS players CAN be paid any amount. subsequently they do count against the salary cap.

On the final 53 cut down date basically all players under contract, including PS and IR, all count against the cap. Certain players with commish exemptions or non-football injuries, etc. do not, but mostly they all do.

your wisdom in these matters is legendary its always great to read you friend. attn 2BD trust me this guy has the skinny and knows his stuff. #fangirl 😜

  5. true story. I was at the local san diego ice arena with my daughter taking her for ice skating lessons. I see this guy behind the skate  counter with a Bills hat. Of course Im going to converse the guy.

I begin to talk when I realize Oh My Gosh I Know this guy!  We went to high school together in batavia. What a random wonderful happenstance kind of meeting when all you wanted was to give the guy a "GO BILLS"...

  6. troll job indeed. Trump supporters have learned from their leader well. He was adept at it you have to give the donald that.  And that such a piece of propaganda exists surprises me zero. Its time to rise above it. So much tit for tat in politics I find it waaaay too high anxiety an interest watching the sides war on. Exercise in futility if you ask me.

Colorado Republican says Biden’s COVID vaccine staff are ‘Needle Nazis’

Rep. Lauren Boebert has also previously used the term ‘brown shirts’ to refer to the enforcement of public health measures by state’s Jewish governor

Rep. Lauren Boebert compared federal COVID-19 vaccination efforts to Nazism, tweeting that Joe Biden “has deployed his Needle Nazis” to her Colorado district.

Boebert, a first-term Republican, posted the tweet above a video of White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki discussing the administration’s efforts to raise vaccination rates through targeted outreach around the country. Psaki mentioned Mesa County, which is in Boebert’s district.

In addition to Nazism, Boebert also compared the outreach to communism in China.

“Biden has deployed his Needle Nazis to Mesa County,” she wrote on Thursday. “The people of my district are more than smart enough to make their own decisions about the experimental vaccine and don’t need coercion by federal agents. Did I wake up in Communist China?”

"It's something unfavorable about the Bills, so it must be clickbait. I'm too fragile to handle anything but glowing praise about my team and every one of its players."

its not so much bashing this guys opinion about players its certainly his right...but to openly state they are presumed failures after not even a snap of training camp or season I reiterate what I think of this article pfffttt

Watching the way in which sports media has been 'distributed' re TE Ertz, from the getgo this off season has been fascinating, there has never been anything even to suggest our Bills are actually interested in Ertz, or that Philly is in talks with any NFL team, yet it's a very persistent news story...

It's almost getting Rodgers like coverage, where one set of media regurgitates what another carries, based on complete gossip and speculation, no facts whatsoever, taking the term 'a source said' to a whole new level, lol

Simply because it has some underlying logic that TE Ertz might be a decent fit in WNY

So bait, story, click, fan react, message board, more clicks, more posts, all because the Eagles play by play announcer said something in an interview, wow, hilarious, my Facebook feed must have like 6 different stories on the latest 'news' yesterday and today, despite it being a complete nothing burger, so I find this to be very educational (even eye opening) sequence on how 'news' is disseminated on-line in this complex modern world, the way in which us sports fans are fed information, and narratives, etc

That said, I think alot of it is being fueled by the local Philly sports media who are frustrated by the Eagles period and the lingering Ertz issue, which IMO seems unnecessarily elongated, I'm glad our Bills do not currently have these kinds of player issues

Outside of the Philly/East Coast media circus, I read just as many on-line articles that we're close to signing CB Steve Nelson as as we are close to signing TE Ertz, now I don't think either has any validity at this point, lol, but while adding Ertz isn't a surprise, most fans expect this is gonna happen, adding CB Sherman or CB Nelson sure would be

  14. I remember back in the day we put our beers in a cooler so they wouldn't freeze and burst the last thing we were worried about was keeping our tailgate beverages cold. More like intact.

This reads to me as the standard back seat pop water beer not much else type cooler. **pours out a 40 for red igloo cooler**

  15. its a picture op for out of towners in Orchard Park year round really.... a friend of mine who drives long haul semi truck pulled into town and took a video just around outside, saw some people roller blading in it.
