the media hoopla leading up to this storm was incredible. I live in a non flood zone type area but I was prepping for wind possible damage. Nothing drastic just common sense stuff like put our outdoor furniture away, pool toys and stuff like that. What actually transpired where I live inland from Del Mar we received a steady rainfall. That was it. No wind whatsoever. The media couldn't predict which path the storm would take. We were spared damage and Im grateful. and Yes, most rainfall goes straight into the street utters which flow to the ocean. But just receiving such a rainfall as this will curtail people from needing to water their non desert style landscaping. So there is that. just a sidenote. But did you all know that State Farm insurance will no longer issue homeowners insurance in the state of California. They apparently don''t like paying for fires and such weather type damage.

Back on topic we all want to read: Muppy lives between 2 canyons. I see hawks and other birds daily. A barn owl landed in my yard with a broken leg one time. My neighbor knew exactly what to do. We took a garbage can put a towel, the bird, topped it with lid. And taken to a wildlife rescue. There they could determine if the leg could be saved or safely euthanize. It was really quite pretty yellow and gray. They used some leather gloves to capture it withoout hurting it further. my dog barked at it like crazy but didn't want any part of it lol Okay. back to your stirring the pot B thread One more I have seen a white owl in the night sky once in Wyoming it was spectacular like in a movie. I think Josh Allen can handle his personal life just fine without we prognosticating how he will fail and be affected in a bad way. The truth is I have confidence in Josh Allen. He is a very smart man. He's been a superstar for a while. He was photoed a few times with Britt as I recall. But the constant photo ops I think could be curtailed with Hailee since she knows how he dislikes the scrutiny. And if she doesn't at least TRY to not put him in those paparazzi type situations and meet privately away from the spotlight she doesn't deserve to be his GF. I clicked on this thread because when I saw "Yuck" I thought of the indie rock band. I know them personally. Mariko is Japanese. The afro hair guy drummer is the nicest guy ever. The guitarist was super sweet. The lead singer was pretty full of himself kind of douchey. I have known several people who spent time in prison for various assorted crimes. My sister had a boyfriend who was incarcerated. I don' recall where he was housed but definitely a minimum security facility. She would visit on he weekend and bring him trays of food. Specifically home made manicotti.. This was in the 70's . I know an ex con from Donovans Correcional facility here in san diego that was paroled after convicted of 2nd degree murder. He became a Christian behind bars and has remained free with his wife and family for over 8 years. I actually met him first inside the prison. I had clearance to enter as a ministry volunteer. It involved a lot of walking and through several security posts. Yard C was maximum security. We workers were not allowed to wear anything blue due to it being the color the prisoners wore. The prison guards treated us respectfully for the most part. Some didn't like we were there The chapel was where we would interact with the inmates. We had specific training on how to behave behind the walls. My husband served in a prison ministry effort called KAIROS. In his kairos group in yard B was Suge Knight. The death row records exec That guy. Kairos has a Graduation ceremony where people can apply for and receive a one day clearance and attend as a surprise for the men. I attended and saw him. When he got up to speak said his name was Suge I could hardly believe it. He is a fairly big guy bald head black sunglasses.
